23.01.2022 This is a great piece from Puppy Culture that helps you understand how to gradually desensitise your puppy to something. This incremental strategy can be applied to anything that overstimulates or causes fear and reactivity. You just have to be cautious not to push your puppy/dog over it’s threshold, which is where it’s vital to carefully observe their body language and take it back a notch if they show the slightest sign of fear or anxiety. Pushing them too far too soon will... prove to be detrimental and serve to sensitise them more rather than habituate. 13.01.2022 Keep those fur kids safe out there and remember that your dog can still catch Parvo even when vaccinated. They can still become sick but do stand a far better chance of recovery than if unvaccinated. So keep those vaccinations up to date or ask your vet to perform titre testing to check on levels of immunity prior to vaccination.
