19.01.2022 Condobolin Library is happy to announce that we have extended our opening hours from Monday 16th November 2020. The revised hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am until 4.00pm and Saturday mornings from 9.00am until 12noon.

06.01.2022 ON THIS DAY in 1948 - "Emus on Rampage in W.A. A mob of about 4000 emus in the Bencubbin district of Western Australia has destroyed 10,000 pounds worth of wheat in the past 12 months. This has been stated by the president of the Bencubbin Farmers' Union, Mr. B. W. Hopwood. He said that some farmers had lost from 500 to 600 bags of wheat through the emus, while in the closely settled area within a 10-mile radius from the town, about a dozen farmers had lost their entire crops."
