20.01.2022 Land of Contrast [swipe>] A dramatic scene from Mount Maroon over the weekend. We’d been climbing up the east face, nervously watching the rains creep closer and closer... Fortunately topping out the route with time to spare, and soak in this spectacular view! Another corker of a day out in the Visit Scenic Rim with @kaipantano. Shot with the compact combo of the Lumix S5 + 20-60mm lens. 18.01.2022 Auburn River NP [Swipe>] One of the things 2020 reminded me of - is that there are countless lesser-known (and seldom visited!) National Parks in this vast country. This little Gem is in the @northburnettrc region of @queensland, and just near the citrus growing capital of Mundubbera. It was magical spot to spend a new nights. Exploring the river gorge of sculpted granite, swimming in cool waters, camped among the tall eucalypts and smelling native flowers. I’m looking forward to visiting more new parks and wilderness areas this year! #queensland #australia @ Auburn River National Park
14.01.2022 Southwest Tasmania. My thoughts are increasingly being filled with visions of the rugged landscapes and dramatic weather of the Southwest wilderness. These mountains are calling! Fingers crossed that upcoming plans go ahead, and I’ll be able to head down there for some exciting projects very soon. 01.01.2022 Jetboil Stash. Carrying a stove to the top of a mountain whilst doing an adventure trad multi-pitch climb isn’t something I’d normally bother with... But this new little kit is so tiny & light it seemed like a fun test! I barely noticed it in my backpack. There was just time to have a quick boil & coffee with @kaipantano as the sun set. Splendid as always from the North Peak of Mount Maroon. A little rain storm rolled in from the South and signalled it was time to pack up.
