22.01.2022 It’s that time of year where we are surrounded by all the yummy food and drinks, I’m a strong believer for everything in moderation- eating the yummy food and drink but also getting out and moving your body- taking the dog for a walk, going exploring around the beach or even just playing cricket with the family are all great ways to make sure your still being active. Please do not punish yourself for enjoying what Christmas/new year has to offer

22.01.2022 GRATITUDE// noun the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. Let’s talk about gratitude- the art of being positive everyday is something that not everyone can do especially with everything that has happened over 2020. We all tend to get stuck in focusing on what we can do better or what can make us happier that we forget to appreciate life’s littlest blessings. I for one struggle with trying to find the positives and usually fa...ll back in negatives as a rebound which puts me in a state of negative energy, but when I change my negative thoughts into positive ones by adding a little gratitude for all the amazing things in my world and my mind set changes in the blink of an eye- I now start by waking up each morning and think of the top 4 things in grateful for - today’s 4 things are: 1 my close relationships eg: family, partner, and friends - for the love and support they give me 2my body - as it allows me to do the things I love. 3 my work- nothing better then seeing a whole bunch of clients laughing and smiling due to something I’ve given them to do 4 the place I live- the beauty it brings every day weather it’s a rainy day or sunny. It honestly changes your world! #lactichealthandfitness

Sure, exercise can improve your physical health and your physique, trim your waistline, improve your sex life, and even add years to your life. But that’s not what motivates most people to stay active.... People who exercise regularly tend to do so because it gives them an enormous sense of well-being. They feel more energetic throughout the day, sleep better at night, have sharper memories, and feel more relaxed and positive about themselves and their lives. And it’s also powerful medicine for many common mental health challenges. Regular exercise can have a profoundly positive impact on depression, anxiety, ADHD, and more. It also relieves stress, improves memory, helps you sleep better, and boosts your overall mood. And you don’t have to be a fitness fanatic to reap the benefits. Research indicates that modest amounts of exercise can make a difference. No matter your age or fitness level, you can learn to use exercise as a powerful tool to feel better. 06.01.2022 My kinda arvo snack oysters, salsa and salad- arvo snacks don’t have to be unhealthy- always try and aim for the healthy (but delicious) options- also if you feel like that chocolate then eat it. Don’t punish yourself if you eat something a little naughty and yummy. Everything in moderation #lactichealthandfitness

02.01.2022 THE FACE BEHIND THE NAME// Hi I’m Angie Matthews, I am 22 years old and I have been working within the fitness industry as a qualified personal trainer for the past 5 years, I studied my certificate III in personal training when I was in year 11/12 at school, I then went into study my certificate IV and now I am currently studying natural health and nutrition. I have had privilege of working with all fitness levels and ages over the past few years and I’m constantly learning more and more about what the fitness industry has to offer. I am extremely passionate about helping people change their lives for the better and I believe that every BODY matters, ensuring you move your body daily helps with lots of things, fitness and physical activity has so many life long benefits for any age or body type #lactichealthandfitness
