25.01.2022 Happy New Year!!! While we may not have been able to gather in large crowds to watch a fireworks spectacle, let us remember that we can be the fireworks in the lives of others and strive to have a blast of a Scouting year.
23.01.2022 With face-to-face Scout meetings resuming following the advice by Scouts SA, we are back in action (adhering to the COVID-19 policies put in place) as of last Saturday, 25/07/2020. Last week, both Cub and Scout sections went to enjoy the new playground equipment that was upgraded at the local park during the break from Scouting. The Scout section also had their Unit Council to decide the rest of the activities for this term. This week, our Cub section will be engaging in ...some map work while our Scout section will be running around the block in a large game of Capture the "Flag" (the definition of flag in this case is subjective). Runners are highly recommended by the LVSG Facebook Team. Check out our website for a list of group and section activities planned for this term. You might also be able to circle in on something cool about the page as well. http://www.lacvietscouts.com/ Until next time, may all of your adventures be heaps good.
22.01.2022 Camp Poetry #3: Whoever knows, Always knows, Days of memories are grown Eyes, forever alone, no love is shown.... Memories forever, No love over, You know I love Trever Not "Forever Alone," I ain't a loner.
20.01.2022 Just a reminder that there is NO SCOUT MEETING today. The Scouting Term 1 for 2021 will commence for us next Saturday, 06/02/2021.
17.01.2022 Brace yourselves... This week, the Cub and Scout Sections will be engaging in one of the most fiery and hot InterSections to be held between the two sections: ScoutsChef - The Cooking Competition that savours all flavours. There will be mess. There will be tears. There will be drama. But most importantly, there will be food. The theme for tomorrow? No, no, no, no, no... You'll have to turn up to the Scout meeting to find out what it is.... The Joey Section will also be doing some cooking as well. The Leaders, with great anticipation, are eagerly looking forwards to having to be the test subjects of all the food tomorrow. Whoops! My hands slipped. The Leaders are raring to be the judges for tomorrow's cooking competition. Off to the Scout Kitchen we go!
17.01.2022 Hey Scouts, Today is R U OK Day. Today is the day to ask your family, friends and even those around you the simple question, "R U OK?" As some of you may have heard recently, there was news of a video on social media making the rounds about someone who decided life was not OK. This is one instance of the many tragedies that are occurring around the world daily. There are people out there, even if they mask it, who are not OK. Especially during this COVID-19 pandemic, many of ...us would have felt more stressed than usual from the effects this has had on the normal. While we may not have the power to change the situation or control what others do, we do have the power to ask, "R U OK?" Sometimes, people just need a willing ear that will hear what they have to say without judgement. Sometimes, people feel lost and seek guidance. Sometimes, people want someone to be there with them as they journey through the tough times. Remember to check up on your family, friends and those around you, not just today but every day. Also, if you are feeling not OK, please know that there are many people you can seek help from; family, friends, teachers, professionals - even the Leaders. Let's make R U OK an everyday habit. #ruok #itsokaynottobeokay #bekind See more
14.01.2022 Hey, hey, hey! Hoping that many of you like meat because there is going to be heaps of it today. Red meat, blue meat, big meat, small meat... Oh crab! Not this again. Just a reminder to all youth members that Scout meetings are back today from 4:30pm - 6:00pm at Lac Viet Scout Hall. The Cub Section will be having a meeting to do some planning for the term program. They will then attempt to meet the requirements for good leadership/teamwork skills. The Scout Section will also ...be having a meeting to do some planning for the term program... How boaring! Never fear since every idea will need to be beefed up by the youth members themselves and then served to the Unit for judgement. How will the program this term be meated out this time around? All shall be re-vealed to those that show up. You're probably thinking, "You've goat to be kidding me." However, please don't lamb-ast me for keeping with the theme; I need to have the chance to flex my pun mussels once in a while. Hoping to meet all of you later so we can ketchup over what you have all been up to over the holidays as well as enjoy another eggs-citing term ahead of us. Pie pie. See more

08.01.2022 Chuc mng nm mi! (Happy New Year) Wishing all of our Scouts a Happy Lunar New Year as we enter the Year of the Buffalo. Têt Nguyên an is a time for families close and afar to reunite together in welcoming the new year. There will be NO SCOUTS this weekend as a majority of our Scouting family will undoubtedly be off partying. While we should definitely celebrate to the fullest, remember to follow the health department's advice and regulations on social distancing and g...ood hygiene practices. We anticipate that our youth members are going to be richer during this period. Just a friendly reminder to all our youth members that if you do receive lucky red envelope money to never give it to your parents or else you may never see it ever again. With this tip, we are sure that our youth members will feel a bit obliged to share some of their newfound wealth with the poor, poor Leaders. We at Lac Viet Scout Group would like to wish you and your families good health, great peace, overflowing prosperity and heaps of fortune. After all, we are so lucky to have you all in our Scouting family. Cung Chúc Tân Xuân (gracious wishes of the new spring)

The Scouting term returns on Saturday 6th of February 2021. As much as the Leaders hate to say it, there will be NO SCOUTS this weekend.
