13.01.2022 Access to affordable and nutritious food to ensure long term positive health outcomes for many people in rural, regional and remote Australia can be difficult. ...The NRWC is calling for the food shopper in your household to complete a food basket survey - you don't need to buy the items we just want to collect the data on the standard items from across Australia. If the item isn't available - leave it blank. This is not about the items you buy or comparing outlets which is why we ask you to complete the 'standard basket list' The 'standard' food basket provides 95% of the energy requirements for a family of four for two weeks. Collection of this data will be used to ensure people living in RRR Australia have access to affordable and healthy food wherever they live. Click on the link to go straight to the data collection survey. #nationalfoodbasket #RRRFoodSecurity #rrrwomen https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NVVHT3R

02.01.2022 This harvest, please relax.... enjoy the drive Let’s keep our community safe

01.01.2022 Jamestown Apex Club and Mid North SPN have teamed up to create the group 'Secret Men's Business'. An informal get together will be held once a month, covering a... diverse range of activities and past times. Our goal is to create a social outlet for men of all ages where everyone can feel safe and appreciated. As the name suggests the group focus is the men in our community. This is a social group offering more than just 'beer and bulls***' Some of these trips may include viewing an impressive collection of old cars or a bloke friendly BBQ cooking masterclass. There is no pressure to attend every activity, but sometimes we all need an excuse to get out the house and attend to some "secret men's business." The first event is an open invite so all the important people in your life can come and hear about the not so "secret men's business" that will be happening and why the group has been established. Ben Joubert, a key driver behind the creation of the group, will be giving us a captivating and raw presentation about his life. His talk will cover his experience growing up in paradise or the breadbasket of Africa and experiencing firsthand brutality of a dictatorship. Then making a move down under, which he describes as, "definitely the luckiest country in the world, our new paradise." So please bring the whole family, your deck chairs, drinks, and snacks and come see what this is all about.......
