It will show you if your total assets outweigh your debts and the strength of your current financial situation. How often do you check your financial net worth, once a month, quarter, 6 months, annually? Or never? If never give it a go, you might be surprised with the results.

23.01.2022 Join us for a FREE webinar! Economics is not about how to get rich, its not the study of the stock market (and not about men in suits). Simply put economics is about people and choices, supply and demand. Here at LFC, we feel every money-savvy lady should know the basics of economics so you can make the best decisions about your own finances and understand how the economy runs. We are thrilled that ANZ Senior Economist Cherelle Murphy will be walking (actually more like joggi...ng) us through the basics of economics and what we can expect from the Australian economy over the next 12 months. This will not be some boring lecture about but a practical look at how the economy around us works and the impact of COVID. Register now at https://www.ladiesfinanceclub.com/webinars

22.01.2022 These are common mistakes I see reguarly when I speak to women about money. The big one is ....(drum roll) not having a goal, if you don't know what your saving for, then you've got nothing keeping you accountable! And you're going to just spend spend spend! During our last Accountability Sessions, there were so many fabulous goals set and a lot of new ones discovered. ... Having goals you feel passionate about and want to achieve is going to help you from transferring money from your saving accounts to your spending account (which we are all guilty of from time to time)! So write out your goals, look at them daily, work out how much you need to be putting away and set up automatic transfers on the day you get paid! Why do you think you dip into your savings account?

21.01.2022 How does compounding interest work? It's when your money makes money.... so the younger you start the more time it has to 'compound'. $100 x 10% = $110 (+$10) $110 x 10% = $121 (+$11)... $121 x 10% = $133 (+$12) .... $235 x 10% = $259 (+$24) This is why people are always going on about contributing more into your Super when you're young! Get your money working as hard as you do!

20.01.2022 Take the Money Monday Mantra Challenge! Each Monday you find a new mantra. Say each mantra each morning for a week - remember success grows where focus grows.

18.01.2022 Let's do the math! We are making some big assumptions that Ellie never took time off work, never got a pay rise clearly, got a 5% return each year and.... is clearly a workaholic. The math shows that 12% super could make a 200k difference at retirement.

17.01.2022 Okay ladies time for a pep talk! If you're struggling with debt you need to stop doing these things below. (Although I doubt anyone doesn't use Netflix so that was probably poor example to use ).... I'm always surprised with how many people I meet who struggle with debt yet order UberEats 3 nights a week (or even lunch OMG) - this is not going to help you reach your goals! Do you struggle with one of these?

13.01.2022 This is why I love the pay yourself first mentality - where before you go pay your bills, expenses, go shopping, Friday night drinks, you PAY YOURSELF FIRST! e end of the fortnight. This kept me trapped in the cycle of living paycheck to paycheck for over 4 (cough 6) years in my first corporate roles. I had a good income and nothing to show for it. Because I was spending..... every single... cent.(and on what shopping...holidays...drinks drinks ...lunches etc) all on con...sumables. It wasnt until I started paying myself first that I was able to save for the first time, build an emergency fund and feel in control of my money. This is why I love the pay yourself first mentality - where before you go pay your bills, expenses, go shopping, friyay night drinks, you PAY YOURSELF FIRST! So you put money away in savings that go directly towards your goals (in a separate account)! Dont have goals? Let's go goals (girls)! Download our free goal template - write out your goal, put a dollar amount and date next to it and presto you have a goal! Cause trust me its toooo easy to say Ill save when Im older or thats a future Molly problem, oh spending another $100 on drinks wont hurt my future.over time it really does you can still have FUN and save for your future!

13.01.2022 Win your day with this million dollar morning routine!

13.01.2022 You may have seen images of women posting black and white images with the hashtag #challengeaccepted The campaign started in Turkey after university student Pnar Gültekin who was only 27 years old was found brutally murdered after her family reported her missing 5 days earlier. A man was been arrested on a charge of "killing with monstrous feeling." Turkey has one of the highest rates of #femicide (female murders) and victims are often seen on TV and in the Papers as black ...and white images. In Australia, a woman is being killed by her partner once every week. The search term domestic violence has increased by 75% on Google since COVID began and support call centers have seen huge spikes especially after the hours of 11pm. Women experiencing domestic violence during the COVID-19 crisis are still struggling to access help, advocates say, amid revelations, almost half of the federal government's promised $150 million in funding will not be distributed for more than a year. So I am posting this photo to remember Pnar but also Roselyn, Elaine, Liqun, Hannah and her children, Loris, Britney, Kim, Alexis, Noeline and the 37 women who were murdered this year by their partners and the other women in Australia who have experienced domestic violence in the hands of others. We need to do better. We have to do better. Thank you @businesschicks for sharing this message! #challengeaccepted #domesticviolenceawareness #PnarGültekin

05.01.2022 Are you down with the new SG? The Superannuation Guarantee (SG) requires employers to pay 9.5 per cent of an employee’s earnings into their superannuation fund. From July 1, 2021, the SG is legislated to rise in half per cent increments each year until it reaches 12 per cent of wages in 2025. The ASFA (the peak policy, research and advocacy body for Australia’s superannuation industry) considers 12 per cent SG to be critical to helping individual retirees to achieve a dignif...ied retirement, improve the sustainability of the Age Pension and take pressure off future federal Government budgets as the population ages. So what do you think, are you down with the SG?

05.01.2022 Ladies Finance Clubs Founder Molly Benjamin spoke with Bella Zaneco from Fully Expressed Australias leading Career Acceleration Strategist on the must-dos when going into negotiating your salary. Bella is passionate about helping women to love Mondays and get paid their worth and receive the recognition they deserve! Check out the video on our website! 1. Know and have confidence in your worth: In advance of any salary negotiation, know your market rate. Recruiters publi...sh benchmarking rates, as does GlassDoor and https://www.whatsthesalary.com/. If youre negotiating a new salary in a new role employers typically work in salary bands. Often they have 10-15% in reserve for negotiation so hold your nerve and never accept the first offer. 2. Know the outcomes you want and prioritise them: Write down the negotiation outcomes youre looking for e.g. salary, flexible working conditions, job role, accountability etc. Consider what softer outcomes are also worth to you, e.g. flexibility etc and prioritise your requests based on your lifestyle goals and needs. 3. Know your deal breakers: In advance of a negotiation write down your deal breakers / break points. For those in salaried employment, this might mean that if your conditions are not met (or not on the path to be met) you begin looking elsewhere. For those of you securing a role, you may turn it down if your conditions are not met or renegotiate. See the full post on Ladies Finance Club website www.ladiesfinanceclub.com/blog
