25.01.2022 International Rural Women’s Day. I think this clever lady sums it up perfectly. Know how appreciated you truly are. I have been blessed to meet the most amazing, inspirational women in our industry, in our #ladiesinlivestock . Just last week I was chatting with one our beautiful LIL’s, a graphic designer by trade, her family business in ‘earthworks’ needed a dozer driver - so up she stepped and took on a brand new task! From contour building to her first dam - wow power to yo...u Sista!! It’s stories like these that truely show a Rural woman’s value! It’s also the ever gracious men in this industry that support and encourage such milestones and achievements. See more

21.01.2022 Warning to Northern Tablelands Graziers. The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting cold weather through the rest of this week. Sheep graziers warnings have been ...issued for Southern NSW and Victoria and we are likely to feel some of it too. Maybe even some more snow. Freshly shorn sheep should be shedded and ewes with lambs at foot need shelter out of the wind. Cattle are also at risk. In particular those that are heavily pregnant or with young calves at foot. Provide shelter and good quality hay if roughage is not available in paddocks. If you require more advice call your local LLS District Veterinarian or Livestock Officer. See more

21.01.2022 A little funny for your wet weather weekend. Hope your all staying safe and well out there. We are missing our sessions and seeing all your happy faces. G

21.01.2022 Have you received seeds in the mail that you didn’t purchase? Don’t plant them or throw them away, report them! The department has seen an increase in reports o...f unsolicited seeds arriving in Australia through the mail, and we’re asking all Australians to be extra biosecurity aware. These seeds could pose a biosecurity risk, so it is important that any suspicious parcels are reported to the department. Seeds that do not meet our biosecurity conditions may carry a range of invasive species or harmful plant diseases that can threaten your backyard garden, our environment and our agricultural industries. We all have a role to play to protect Australia from biosecurity risks. If you receive seeds in the mail that you didn’t purchase, report it immediately at awe.gov.au/report or by calling 1800 798 636.

11.01.2022 From our last survey we did - so many of you wanted to know more about online meetings. Our good friends Rural Women's Network have some great workshops coming up. Isolation regulations may not have changed for you as our normal has always had isolation. Here is an opportunity to stay connected more. It definitely does not replace real social outings but for the current circumstances it’s the next best thing. Click on the link
