Every single staff member at Lady Lash has completed and now holds their covid-19 Infection Prevention certificate. We have always held extremely high standards of hygiene; however have implemented even more measures in recent weeks, the full scale of which can we found on our website and also in a recent email to existing clients. 15.01.2022 So of course, sunscreen is VERY important these days, even on a cloudy day? But did you know - it can kinda mess up your lashes? It's really important to choose and oil-free kind if you've got extensions on- there are many on the market in any large pharmacy. . PLEASE avoid spray-on mist type sunscreens, the fine particles will get right down into the adhesive bonds if you spray your face, and start weaking the bonds (resulting in faster loss of your extensions, or a bondin...g issue when you come for infills!) . It's also super important just before your infill, to keep oils off the lashes and face as much as possible. Whilst we do clean and prime your lashes as much as possible, if they've been exposed to a lot of oils and oil-like ingredients (glycol, glycerin) in the days prior to your application, sometimes that oil will soak into the lash/hair follicle, and the lash will, even after cleansing, be a little repellent to adhesives. And it’s hard not to feel helpless as they rage on, and on. But we all can help, in some way or another. . This weekend, 100% of all profits from all of our salons will be donated to WIRES. They are in desperate need of funds as are being absolutely inundated with calls for assistance for burnt and displaced wildlife. With ...an estimated wildlife loss figure of around 500 million from these fires, the situation is dire. Who knows what is to become of our native animal populations in the years to come? 02.01.2022 It's with a heavy but hopeful heart, that I announce from tomorrow evening (Wednesday 25th of March) all 4 of our Lady Lash salons will be closed temporarily. As a result of recent government orders to combat COVID-19, beauty salons must cease trading from tomorrow midnight. We fully respect this decision - we're all in this together, and we will do whatever is deemed necessary to help stop the spread. . My absolute priority during this time is to support our staff - Lady La...sh is the place it is today because of the amazing people we have here. Whilst we're not able to serve you after tomorrow (for a while), behind the scenes I will be doing everything I can to rebuild and be in the best possible position for us to come back stronger, whilst retaining as many of our team as possible. We can't WAIT to see you again, and we know there will be a light at the end of the tunnel. It's this way for so many businesses at the moment. . I am heartbroken that this has all happened - but at the same time, I'm grateful to be here in Australia right now surrounded (not physically!) by an amazing community of people who I know will all support each other to rise up again. .
