The laboratory and centre was a vital addition to the Penfield Research Station facility that supports S&W’s plant breeding programs, and staff and industry education. 15.01.2022 This multi-species crop in Dalby, Queensland, was grown to fill the winter feed gap on a property which utilises leucaena for its summer feed. Comprising of vi...gorous winter growing species, such as forage brassica, radish and oats, this blend provided quick feed while the leucaena was dormant. These steers will be grown through to the 400kg market and sold to nearby feedlots. The farmer is impressed with the forage production and its added benefits of soil improvement and biodiversity in a winter forage. 13.01.2022 Stripping Oats at Bannister January 2021. Normally this would have been wrapped up into Hay about Mid December, due to the wet weather we couldn't get to this... section of the paddock as it was still boggy (a good problem to have). Then a storm that caused a fair bit of drama locally flattened a fair amount of this paddock.
