25.01.2022 Sorry, but there will be no Laggan Markets next Saturday, the 21st of March. Many of our volunteers are elderly and we need to look after them, and everyone else. And with the Hall getting so crowded, it is impossible to follow the recommended "distancing" guidelines. Thank you for your understanding. It was a tough decision but we think the right one. We will post about April's Markets in a few weeks. Hopefully all of these precautions will keep the virus out of Crookwell. If you have any questions, please feel free to post or email. In the meantime, stay well. The Laggan Hall Committee.

20.01.2022 Just letting everyone know that in the interests of keeping everyone safe and well and per the instructions of the Federal and State governments there will be no April Laggan Markets. We'll keep you posted re May. In the meantime, if you'd like to post something to this page about what you're up to re your produce we're happy for shares. If you're having a problem let us know via messenger. Stay safe everyone. If we all do the right thing hopefully we'll slow and stop the spread of covid and get things ticking along again.

17.01.2022 The Laggan Hall, built in 1926, became a Memorial Hall in 1945 at the end or World War II. The brick front was added and a Roll of Honour bearing the names of the Laggan district men who had served in WWII bestowed on the hall. Today, ex-serviceman and hall committee member Chris Fenton marked Anzac Day and the Laggan Hall's significance to the district with a dawn reading of the names of those on the Honour Roll. Lest We Forget.

16.01.2022 The Laggan Christmas Markets are ON this Saturday, 12th of December 9-1 at the Laggan Hall. Lots of stalls for Christmas Shopping, tucker up at the BBQ. All market visitors must register at the table inside the Hall and remember to social distance and practice good hygiene. See you there.

16.01.2022 Hi - the Christmas market is still on track for Saturday 12th December We also wanted to let you know that 2021 is the 75th Anniversary of the commemoration of the Hall. The committee is planning a re-commemoration on Saturday the 24th of April - the day before Anzac Day - and wishes to invite the descendants and family of the men whose names appear on the Honour Roll in the Hall. We are also assembling memorabilia for the event. We'll post a list of the names. If you think you may be interested, we have an email set up for you to contact us. It is [email protected] We are hoping that we can share this event with as many of the local families as possible, so please get in touch.

10.01.2022 Hi, the Laggan Markets are still on hold. We've been asked if maybe we could have the stalls outside the Hall, but with over 50 stall holders, to be fair, that would not be possible without someone missing out and we wouldn't be able to have the tearoom. So like so many events, we are waiting for the covid crisis to pass. So stay safe everyone. We'd love to see you when things get back to the new normal.

05.01.2022 Save the date - Saturday December 12 0900-1300. Barring terrible weather or Covid getting out of hand we're planning a Christmas Market at the Laggan Hall. We've registered our Cvid Plan and will be observing the Cvid precautions. We've 10 inside stalls and 21 outside with more to confirm. We'll update you as things progress. Hope to see you there.

05.01.2022 Laggan Markets Update Hi - with some of the Covid restrictions lifting, people are asking when the Laggan Markets will resume. Unfortunately, we don't have an answer yet. Because the hall and tearoom can get pretty packed at times, the social distancing rules will all need to have been lifted. And also, because the Laggan Hall is on Crown land, we will also have to wait for notification from the Department of Primary Industries that the hall can again be used for public events. The Hall committee would like to see the markets up and running as soon as possible, but we also are very conscious of the need to protect our stall holders, volunteers and the community and visitors so we are committed to abiding by the rules. As soon as it's looking like the markets will start up again, however, we'll let everyone know.
