22.01.2022 Hi Guys.. As government restrictions inline Covid-19 are slowly starting to ease GPS & Mackay Regional Council have been reviewing our position. As new new guidelines have been put in place this means for us we would only be able to allow a maximum number of 10 patron’s onsite at one time with all showers & changing rooms to remain closed. With this is mind a decision has been made for the Blue Water Lagoon to remain closed until September. Thank you for all understanding. We can't wait to welcome you all back!!

22.01.2022 The Bluewater Lagoon are getting prepared to reopen 1st September following being closed because of COVID19, we are looking for pool lifeguards for weekend and ...holiday causal staff. This is a great opportunity to work in a safe, supervised, public Council owned environment especially for a first job. Pool Life Guard training will be provided in line with Royal Life Saving Australia guidelines by an accredited trainer from Brisbane. The requirements of the position are: 16 years of age or over. Able to swim confidently. Good eye for detail. Ability to pay attention and interpret surroundings. Great team work skills. Excellent communicator. Happy and positive personality. Able to be assertive and speak up when required. Available for Lifeguard training (25th & 26th of July) Able to complete a First Aid Certificate. Able to complete Queensland Blue Card application. 19.01.2022 Exciting News Alert We can’t wait to welcome everyone back

17.01.2022 GREAT NEWS! The new equipment has arrived!!! The Bluewater Lagoon interactive play area will be closed from Tuesday, October 27, until midday on Friday, October 30. The closure is to allow for the installation of the remaining new play equipment, including a giant water drop bucket.... The far end of the Bluewater Lagoon car park will also be closed during the installation period. The new interactive play area will cater to people of all-abilities and all ages. Residents are advised that the lagoon swimming pools will remain open to the public during this time. Council apologises for any inconvenience caused by this closure. See more

16.01.2022 A very big special thank you to Sheena Bluewater Lagoon & Pancake Bliss for decorating the cafe with 10 year balloons and a beautiful cheesecake for everyone to eat at 7 am. Best breakfast ever.

The refurbishment of the children’s water play area is still ongoing and is expected to be completed and fully operational by late-October 2020, weather permitting. However Patrons will still be able to use the sprinklers in the play area. The refurbishment to the Blue Slide in the main lagoon will be fully operational for the 1st of September. We can’t wait to welcome you all back!

15.01.2022 IT'S OPEN!! It was a beautiful morning for the opening of the new Interactive Kids Splash zone at the Bluewater Lagoon, even our Mayor Greg Williamson got in on the fun with the kids! A big thank you to All Abilities Mackay, the Mayor and our Councillors for being there to commemorate this day.

14.01.2022 Due to the current circumstances, a decision has been made to close Pancake Bliss for the foreseeable future. The Bluewater Lagoon will still remain open however this will be monitored and reviewed daily in line with State and Federal Government Guidelines.
