17.01.2022 Friends of Laidback Lee Design. This next interview shines the spotlight on Alisha Rae, the founder of one of our favourite brands... First things first, how did Harper + Wilde begin and what was that light bulb moment when you decided to start your business?... "Oh, the lightbulb moment! It’s a very vivid one for me, I was bouncing my 3 month old on a fit ball at 2am, delirious with sleep deprivation and I just remember thinking, I need more than this. Which sounds terrible, but truly comes from a place of love. I LOVE being a mum and it is the most beautiful and fulfilling part of my life but I felt a little lost and muted, like all my creativity had nowhere to be released and I had become a little one dimensional. And I knew that to be the best mum and role model for my baby that I could be I needed to be a fully nourished and happy human. It was very literally a lightbulb moment, I remember asking the question out loud ‘How do I get through this?’ and immediately got the answer; ‘You create’. So I did.
