17.01.2022 I've never put these on but this is the other string to our bow. Cathy and I walk the beaches of Gerringong, Gerroa and Shoalhaven heads on the NSW South Coast collecting driftwood. From it I make Drift wood owls. Some examples all set up for tommorrow"s market. Nothing is done to get the shape, they are as we find them. Which makes each unique. The eyes are the base of seaweed and have to die,dry out and fall off before I can use them.We have big and baby owls and also baby owls in the wild. if you want to see where I get my inspiration from look up owlpages.com.au or like the owl pages on facebook.
15.01.2022 It's been difficult to put up photos of the tables, chairs and stools l've been making simply because they are different from every angle. Here are some of my latest creations with explanation. The stools are the ultimate in recycling. I find the bases from what people throw out during council cleanups then add a log top. The chairs are for little people but l make smaller ones for bears and dolls. The tables depend very much on what wood l can find. All are different, it's impossible to make two the same. The wood is the hero and l try to do the best by it. All are for sale at very reasonable prices with all the monies raised going to programs that help people in the Northmead area run by my church (Northmead Uniting).
14.01.2022 Our online store is now live. Check out our collection of hand-crafted Laidback Tables at http://laidbacktables.com.au/
12.01.2022 Latest Tables made. They don't come across well in a photo but I think that's more me than them.
09.01.2022 These are my new chairs from an idea I got on our trip to Alaska. We went to a couple of Lumberjack shows and they cut a chair from a log with a chainsaw. I've adapted their idea and made them stronger. I call them Bear Chairs.
05.01.2022 These are some of the tables l'll be taking to Laidback tables first market on the year. Kirribilli markets are on this Sunday 8am till 3pm in the Burton st Tunnel below the Milson Point railway station. Big market with over 200 stalls. You'll find me near the Eastern entrance. This is their Art and Design market. I will also be doing their general market on the 4th Saurday of each month.
05.01.2022 Laidback Tables are unique, handmade log tables. Each table is unique as the final appearance depends on the size, shape, and bark of the log being worked, combined with my imagination. Available for sale at laidbacktables.com.au

01.01.2022 Both these tables sold at the Forages Twlight market Bulli on Sunday night. Did very well and now have the support of an arborist who will be supplying me with quality character wood pieces which l find difficult to find.
