01.01.2022 Hi all. I have been creating websites for many years. So I have finally decided to crate a page to share my pics of what i have created or a front for anyone who wants a site done. Prices always scares people off. well A small website for the family or a small business start at around $500.

01.01.2022 Computer / Laptop for designing websites. I personally have a gamming Laptop about $3k worth. A few reasons why. Mainly yes I play games. I also do some serious number crunching when doing some Analytical Data stuff I do. However do you need the best of the best. Short answer is NO. OK first and foremost. No you don’t need the latest and greatest. A PC to create websites is not CPU or graphics intensive. All you need is a cheap laptop or computer from your computer supplier.... Saying that I would make sure of a few things that I call must haves. 8GB RAM - Is needed for the OS and also number crunching photo’s as a cache. Meaning things get done faster than a 4GB or less. The OS usually needs 3GB OF ram. So you only have 1GB of ram to do your stuff. i5 CPU - You could use I3 but when dealing with the crunching of Photo's it comes in handy. 1-2TB Hard drive at least. Need to put those Photo's somewhere. I do recommend 2 external hard drives. 1 to backup your data once a month or week. Then the other to backup your other external drive. I say this as I have lost a lot of data before from 1 external as backup. A MAC any are perfect but there goes the budget if looking at Mac’s. I could rant on about needing an amazing laptop/PC but honestly it’s just a waste of money. I have a second laptop that I use and I bought it from eBay. An ex government lease Laptop for around $400 and it is perfect. Just stick with 8GB Ram & i5 and you will be fine. Obviously when buying from eBay. 01.01.2022 So today I was going to talk about photo quality on websites. Are you willing to sit and wait for 5 minutes while your 2.6mb picture loads. You need to halve the size from the 3200x down to around 1600x . Then try reducing the pixels to around 90-70p. Then save with around 70% when saving a jpg. The result wont be 100 perfect but most normal people wont notice. My favorite tool is RIOT (Radical Image Optimization Tool) http://luci.criosweb.ro/riot/
