BAFA is a Bangladeshi Boutique Association, a strong platform built to unite all the Bangladeshi expat Artists, Boutique owners/enterprisers (fashion, jewellery, make up and beauty, henna, etc) located all around Australia to stay connected & to uphold our pride of being Bangladeshi, working as a team for greater mission & vision. BAFA represents the best interest of its member businesses. Using BAFA, all its members will be represented in wider community and to other Fashion Industries in official capacity, promoting their products and services on our website as well to wide range of communities. In 2019, Lais Fita Sydney Incorporated organized the very first Grand Lakemba Eid Bazar event. We would like to convey our sincere gratitude and appreciation for all your support we have received hence was a successful event. Sadly, in 2020 our events were cancelled due to Covid19 crisis, resulted having a great impact on majority of our Boutique businesses and were feeling helpless. This is the core reason that the executive committee members recently decided to dissolve Lais Fita Sydney Inc. and establish BAFA to comprise all Bangladeshi origin boutique and other fashion business owners to fulfill their greater interest. We are very excited to announce that this year in 2021, Grand Lakemba Eid Bazar will be held again on one Saturday for each Eid at The Orion Function Centre, 155 Beamish St, Campsie, 08th May for Eid-ul-Fitr and 17th July for Eid-ul-Adha. BAFA has agreed to maintain these events covid safe following the Government’s covid safety plan. We would also like to announce that this year and all future events will be organised by BAFA. Eid festivals have transpired in many locations as an important instrument for promoting business, social harmony and enjoyment. Each year we have been viewing our Eid festival grows into something bigger and better. Fashion stores from Sydney and other cities are joining us to load customer's wardrobe with exclusive and gorgeous attires and accessories. This Eid Bazar will attract more and more young entrepreneurs as well as visitors to participate and direct, connect and interact on the most recent fashion and trends of cultures of different communities. It is an event with the mission to bring the Bangladeshi, Indian, Pakistani, Lebanese and Middle Eastern, Indonesian, Malaysian and other predominantly Muslim Communities together in a festive environment. The main aim is to support the communities, social- cultural and economic benefits of cultural diversity on the occasion of Eid festivals. Grand Lakemba Eid Bazar events are one of the most multi-cultural, well-organised Eid shopping hubs and festivals for the whole community where the families and friends of all communities can complete their Eid shopping in one place. BAFA also truly believes to maintain a cohesive relationship and cooperation and support with other Bangladeshi and other community organizations and all their events specially such of Eid Bazar/ Eid Exhibition or Eid Mela events. 01.01.2022 "GRAND LAKEMBA EID BAZAR 2021" ======================= ======================= A great meeting with Ms Wendy Lindsay MP, Member for East Hills, Parliament of NS...W and GRAND LAKEMBA EID BAZAR 2021 Venue updates: =========================================== A few executive members of Bangladesh Australia Fashion Association (BAFA) visited Ms Wendy Lindsay MP, Member for East Hills, Parliament of NSW few days ago. They had a great meeting with Ms Lindsay MP in her office. The team BAFA nicely presented and described the vision and mission of BAFA. Ms Lindsay MP was very impressed on the formation of BAFA and to see how all the expatriate Bangladeshi entrepreneurs’ women achieved their dream to unite and have the mission for success within the wider Australian Bangladeshi and other communities. Our heartfelt thanks to Ms Lindsay MP for her hospitality and encouragement towards BAFA and her words as an important female NSW Parliamentarian Member for the continuous support from the NSW Government. We also cordially invited Ms Lindsay to attend the Grand Lakemba Eid Bazar program on 08 May. Earlier few weeks ago, a team of most of the executive committee members of BAFA visited the Consulate General of Bangladesh in Sydney office. They had a great meeting with the Consul Gerenal Mr Khandker Masudul Alam and other officials. Regarding the venue of the Grand Lakemba Eid Bazar 2021, the Executive Committee of BAFA for last few weeks was looking for a bigger and better venue than the previous circulated one. We are now very happy to announce that we have finally got the new venue. It is a great moment and our pride to announce that the Grand Lakemba Eid Bazar 2021 will be held at the Orion Function Centre, Campsie on both 08 May and 17 July 2021. The Function Centre is not located at Lakemba but it is a very popular venue for big events within the Canterbury Bankstown Council. So we choose this Centre at Campsie but decided to keep our event name as the original one because the "GRAND LAKEMBA EID BAZAR" has been so popular since its inception in 2019 and again the suburb of Campsie is very close to the suburb of Lakemba. So, we are cordially inviting you again on 08 May 2021 from 10am to 10pm at the Orion Function Centre at Campsie on the occasion of the Grand Lakemba Eid Bazar event for all your Eid shopping and meeting your friends before the Eid ul Fitr 2021.
