25.01.2022 Here it is. The much anticipated 2021 Lake Boga Easter Regatta brochure.
22.01.2022 Hi all, Our official sailing season races have been completed, but we have decided to have an end of season social day this Sunday, we plan to start around 11 am, have a BBQ lunch ( all supplied by the club ) about 12.30, then continue sailing etc into the afternoon. We will be prepared to take other members and children for a sail on our boats, and give sail training to anyone who requests it, we could also have short races with crews on our boats, we can also do some rescu...e boat handling training and instruction so our boat crews are ready for Easter. Come and join us for a fun day to finish the season. Cheers Garry
21.01.2022 To all sailors, It is with a real regret that the Lake Boga Yacht Club has made the decision to cancel this years Easter Regatta. This decision was made taking into account the current restrictions surrounding COVID-19 and the risk to the health and welfare of our members and visiting sailors. We’re sorry for the inconvenience and we’ll be back bigger and better next year. Kind Regards, Lake Boga Yacht Club Committee
19.01.2022 Hi all, The Yacht club presentation night and dinner and AGM will be held on Sat 29th of June, at the clubhouse. Further details to follow. Cheers... Garry
18.01.2022 Hi all, This Sunday 14th is our Easter Regatta working bee, 10am start. We need to give the clubhouse (clean windows, cobwebs, floor, tower, kitchen, balcony), toilets, showers and rescue boats a good cleanup. The camping area signs need to be put out. The green carpet needs to be put on the balcony.... Please bring appropriate equipment to carry out these jobs. We will also get our race equipment checked and ready for Easter. Please come and give us a hand. Cheers Garry
17.01.2022 Hi all, Could any of club members who are available please attend this meeting on Thursday 17th at 3.30 pm out the front of the yacht club, unfortunately I have to be in Melb Thurs & Frid. This path could cause us all sorts of problems to us, ie OH&S hazard with people continuing to use the path when we are setting up boats, restricted yacht rigging area, the path goes around the back of the ski club, so there is no good reason it can't go around the back of the Yacht club, t...he existing path goes out along the track into the yacht club and links to other path going over to the town, people would not be aware of this if it continues across the front of the yacht club. Please have a look at the 2 attachments and come to the meeting to support the Yacht Club and voice your opinion. Cheers Garry

13.01.2022 Hi all, We had our opening day yesterday, with a good turn up of sailors, well done to Andrew Giles from Mildura who won the race by .03 seconds from Ken Robinson. After the race we had our AGM and 2019/20 season trophy presentation. Ken Robinson has taken on the Commodore position again, and Grant Davies the Secretary/Treasurer position, congratulations to Peter Porter, a new member on the committee, taking the place of Tim Dunstan, who has heavy work commitments at the mom...ent. It is membership and boat storage form time again. Please fill out and return your form to the secretary with your fees asap, your fees can be paid directly into our bank account if you wish, but we still require a copy of the forms please. A copy of the committee members and their contact details, and the sailing calendar/duty is available or posted elsewhere on Facebook page Good sailing Regards Garry
10.01.2022 Some people are struggling to ‘Create posts’ on our Lake Boga Facebook page. All news and views and advertisements for buying or selling sailing boats and bits are most welcome. I’m not sure what the problem is that some people are having. I guess you may need to not only follow the page but you may also need to like the page before a ‘Create Post’ button comes up. Once you have written your post, just make sure that you choose the ‘Public’ button at the top of your post so that it doesn’t just go to your personal friends. I hope this sorts out the issues some people are experiencing. Let Gregg know on 0439369616 if you still have problems.

02.01.2022 Hi all, The working bee is still scheduled for this Sunday 20th September at 10am. We will give the clubhouse, change rooms, sheds, equipment and grounds a clean up before the season starts. If we get more than the allowed 10 people there, I will happily leave. ... As for the start of the season, scheduled for the 27th September, we are waiting on further advice from Yachting Australia, the current advice is that we are able to go sailing, they are checking if we are allowed to use the change rooms, or have a BBQ lunch. The usual mask and distance Covid rules for regional Vic apply. Further info can be found at ; sailingresources.org.au/covid-19/vic/ I will keep you informed as to what we can or cannot do for the opening day. Regards Garry
