While you watch this think about our situation here in Australia with the issue of milk and the deregulation of the dairy Industry. Think about the small farmers and farmers and how BIG business and Government complicity have created a place where BIG Business controls the food industry.... But you can change this. You as an individual cannot be forced to support conglomerates that ravage society.....they need your money to do that. Don't give it to them. 23.01.2022 Hello Lake Macquarie, Open Saturday 9th from 7.00am till 12.00pm - Speers Point Park - Remember food markets like our are deemed "essential businesses".....which means if you come and shop with us you are NOT doing anything illegal. Yes, it's Mother's Day on Sunday, a very special day for our very special mothers' so you can shop from 7.00am till 12.00pm at Speers Point Park this Saturday 9th.... Come down to the market and grab some farm fresh produce to spoil your mother for Sunday..... While Queenslanders, South Australians, Western Australia, ACT, Northern Territory take a more reasonable approach to relaxing (picnics in parks no less, sitting on distanced park benches etc - Gee who would of thought sunshine and open air would be bad for the viruses - Florence Nightingale for one in 1860) we in NSW are still in lock down. So the best we can do is provide the farmers for you to put together a special basket of goodies for Mum on Mother's Day..... Maria River Distillery has a very limited number of their Cream Limoncello available. They only release these a few times a year. Creme Limoncello is a creamier version of their traditional Limoncello. The Bloom Barn will have plenty of flowers to choose from...so flowers are covered. Remember - Social Distancing 1.5 metres and Shop n Go and perhaps next market we will catch up with the other States and Territories.....

If and when New South Wales moves to Stage 3 lockdown we will be trading just like Woolworths, Coles etc...... We have extra precautions put in place, hand sanitisers and wipes at all entry points, health signage and extra security staff to ensure patrons adhere to the social distancing of 1.5 metres. 11.01.2022 Hello Lake Macquarie...... Up and early and off to the Farmers Market from 7.30am at Speers Point Park..... Saturday 9th November. We have a couple of new vendors to introduce and I'm sure you will give them a hearty Lake Mac welcome.... First up is Maria River Distillery which is located on the Maria River in the beautiful Mid North Coast of New South Wales. The Distillery is a little family farm with an old dairy on it and Brandons' family moved there over 100 years ago. They grow what they can - juniper, coriander, citrus and the Australian botanicals. What they don’t grow they source locally or responsibly from overseas. How early can you have a gin or lemonchello? Alavier Collection is a handcrafted jewellery artisan....Ashleigh Whiley established her business to display her knowledge, love and passion for the arts culminating in her majoring in sterling silver design. Unique pieces of jewellery range from earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings. Alavier Collection also creates stunning water colour paintings on beautiful vibrant cards. 09.01.2022 A BIG HELLO to Lake Macquarie. Lake Macquarie City Farmers Market is considered an "Essential Business" and will be trading this Easter Saturday from 7.00am til 12.00pm, Speers Point Park. Purchasing direct from the farmers' means less food handling, unlike supermarkets handled time and time again. Supermarkets have now suspended home delivery and click n collect, surely attending the Farmers Market is more plausable than a supermarket.... Of course, stalls have been redesigned for social distancing. Additional measures may need to be implemented in the coming weeks' as we refer to the current Government information on COVID 19. 09.01.2022 Hello our Farmer Market foodies, Lake Macquarie City Farmers Market is open from 7.30 am tomorrow morning from 7.30am at Speers Point Park, Park and Creek Reserve Roads, Speers Point NSW 2284. We have had a few enquires about dogs.... dogs are welcome with one requirement...please do not take your dog within 3 metres of any stall selling any produce or food stall selling food "to go".... nor take your dog within a food producing stall.... If dog owners can respect our requirements that you do not take your dog witin 3 metres of a food stall, (any food stall) then ultimatley we do not have a problem. However, we see time again dog owners disregarding our requirements and entering spaces where we really do not want dog owners taking their dogs. Why? Please remember that not everyone feels the same way about your dedicated K9 friend as you do. And please, please consider that not everyone wishes to shop for their fortnightly goodies in amongst our K9 friends. Sometimes we forget that. I leave it to our dedicated customers to express, whether to me personally (at the markets) or by an email ([email protected]) their thoughts. For NSW Farmers Market we wish a space that ALL customers feel their needs are met. 01.01.2022 Hello Lake Macquarie - we are open this Saturday 25th from 7.00am til 12.00pm at Speers Point Park. Of course normally on ANZAC Day we would not be operating but I'm sure the ANZAC's would not mind supporting our hard working farmers this year - we will be paying our respects at 6.00am. It was fantastic to see customers adhering to the social distancing measures and the great atmosphere is returning to the market. Smiles were certainly out and about last market day. ... Just go for a little walk, enjoy the open air therapy and you will find all your favourite stallholders'. Don't forget to utilise the hand sanitisers at all entry points and remember to adhere to the social distancing measures of 1.5 metres - and don't be shy if you need to nudge a fellow market customer who neglects to think. We are safer than a supermarket with far less food handling, situated on a large open park making social distancing much easier.
