05.01.2022 Hold on to your hats and get ready for a massive weekend of fun when the 2020 #LakeMacFestival stretches from one side of the lake to the other on Saturday 25 a...nd Sunday 26 January. Full event details here: lm.city/LakeMacFestival The fun will kick off from 7.30am on Saturday in Thomas H Halton Park at Croudace Bay with a free breakfast run by local community groups. Running until noon the event will feature live music, yoga, family-friendly games and children’s entertainers The Little Scallywagz. Then on Saturday evening from 4pm to 10.30pm the celebrations will spring to life around the lake with colourful lakeside activations at four locations including Wangi Wangi, Rathmines, Pelican and Swansea, each with its own entertainment, live music, market stalls and food vendors. Turn your head to the sky from 9pm to watch the fireworks over the water at any of the four locations. Given the recent weather, a final decision on if the fireworks will go ahead will be made closer to the event. Finally, to bring back the chilled vibes on Sunday, Speers Point Park will host a Sunday Sessions event from 3-7pm with music and food trucks rolling in.
