24.01.2022 Unfortunately the easing of COVID-19 restrictions for camping do NOT apply to Lake Tooliorook camping ground. This is because it has communal facilities (toilets, showers) which can not be locked. Only parks with private facilities will be open (such as cabins). Details are at https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/travel-restrictions-covid-19 But Day Trippers still welcome!

24.01.2022 The lake is now open for boats (only deep enough for tinnies). Still no camping. Geoff: 0487 337946.

23.01.2022 The lake is nearly full. The camping ground is looking perfect and quarter full with campers. The fish are biting but nobody is fishing!

22.01.2022 We are open again!! Camping, toilets, showers - all open! There are plenty of campers so best to check with caretaker Geoff first. 0487 337946. Also he needs proof that you are not from Melbourne lockdown areas. Driver license with current address is fine. Lake is full and the fish are getting fat (but not taking a bait).

20.01.2022 Yay!! The lake is open for camping (with conditions) says Corangamite Shire. The showers are closed. The public toilets are open. Safe personal distance is essential. The latest State Government conditions: https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/travel-restrictions-covid-19

18.01.2022 About 70mm fell over the week so creeks starting to flow and lake level is rising. I will post a current photo in the next few days.

17.01.2022 BACK TO CLOSED AGAIN. The caretaker advises us that the numbers at the camping ground are too high to guarantee that we are COVID safe. We Have to close again till infections are under control SORRY!

16.01.2022 Bad news. Due to Covid-19 the jetty, boat ramp and entire site is now closed till further notice. The fish will be bigger then!

16.01.2022 Camping ground is 1/4 full with regulars. Negative test for B/G algae 10 days ago. Trout are there but are feeding on minnows and not biting. All quiet.

09.01.2022 In answer to some questions: The lake was stocked last Oct with 5000 rainbow and 5000 brown trout, There are also chinook salmon from earlier stocking. None are biting at present. - but we are all waiting....

08.01.2022 Due to this virus ALL CAMPING at the Lake is CANCELLED till further notice. Pity. Day visits are ok at this stage.
