23.01.2022 Starry nights next to Lake Broadwater just outside of Dalby in @experiencewesterndowns. Standing next to the lake at night with a perfect glass off was like be...ing totally surrounded in stars. It was quite a surreal experience. The best bit was my camp was only metres away. I set up a time lapse and then just sat back in my camp chairs having dinner and enjoying this beautiful environment. It would have to be one of the best locations I have visited to enjoy the night sky. Check out my other page @australias_outback where I’m also sharing this adventure. 22.01.2022 After a total of 6 inches the lake is about 3 foot deep. (Which is more than we had in the whole of last year). Sadly we just missed a huge downpour last night which probably would have filled the lake. Although it’s not deep enough for boats it is the perfect time to bring out the kayaks and paddle boards.

16.01.2022 Lake Broadwater QLD. Such an amazing place that’s close to Dalby to get away.

12.01.2022 After a lovely 80mm of rain of the last few days the lake has water again. Sadly only about a foot deep so no skiing but it’s a start. There is still water flowing into the lake, fingers crossed for some more rain during the week. It’s amazing how quickly the animals return.

05.01.2022 I took a road trip out around the Dalby area today and visited Lake Broadwater. Unfortunately there is no lake - it is bone dry. In better days the lake is a po...pular water skiing venue and water bird habitat. Please rain big time! The other images were taken back in October 2015 when it was full. See more
