25.01.2022 We can’t wait to be back in 2021
24.01.2022 Urgent Help Needed Lake Cathie FC held its 2020 AGM last night with a very disappointing attendance. Seven people from four families is a tough ask to run a football club with over 200 players. Our committee are all working parents who volunteer their time to ensure our community has a great club to play football. We need your help urgently to complete our 2021 committee. Without more volunteers, we face an uncertain future. If you can help with any of the below roles, ...please DM the club via Facebook, or email [email protected] Available roles MPIO - Member Protection Information Officer (position description available on below link) Canteen Coaches Team Managers Saturday Morning Field Set Up https://www.playfootball.com.au//adm/position-descriptions
23.01.2022 Father’s Day ideas call in this weekend and see our Major Sponsor for some great offers.
23.01.2022 Club Update With social distancing restrictions starting to lift, plans are underway for the 2020 football season to commence in early July (dependent on Government restrictions). Return to Training guidelines have been released by Northern NSW Football. The Committee and coaches will be meeting shortly to discuss a return to training for all teams. Lake Cathie Football Club will be following the advice and guidelines set out by NSW Health and Northern NSW Football to e...nsure that they are adhered to and implemented correctly. Please understand that there are likely to be further changes to when, where and how training sessions will be held. We have been asked to re-nominate teams for all age groups that we will be entering in the 2020 competition by 5 June 2020. If you no longer want your child/ren to play this season can you let us know ASAP, (email [email protected] or DM on Facebook), otherwise we will assume that your child is playing. If you do not wish your child to play in 2020 the club will deregister the player(s) and provide a refund (minus the cost of the already ordered playing strip which you will be provided with). Please note if you deregister you will not be reimbursed the Active Kids voucher component of the registration. We will be providing further regular updates on our Facebook page and by email.
21.01.2022 Rainbow Beach Sport Fields An update on what we hope will become our new home in the next few years. Plenty of room for our club to grow.
21.01.2022 Watsons Caravans Port Macquarie How good would one of these be while watching football on a cold Friday night on the hill at Lake Cathie . Let’s hope we’re back soon, but while we’re all waiting for football to start, take advantage of the long weekend and call into Watsons Caravans and support our major sponsor.
20.01.2022 Update Lake Cathie FC committee met last night and determined the current restrictions, along with the Covid-19 safety requirements, are not manageable by a volunteer run organisation. We have expressed our concerns to Football Mid North Coast. Unfortunately, training is still not approved for any Lake Cathie FC teams.... We will continue to post and email information as soon as we have updates. Again we thank you for your patience, and please know that we are working for the best interest of our players, coaches and volunteers.

06.01.2022 Season Update Please find below and extract from an email received today from Football Mid North Coast. Further information will follow from the club, so keep an eye on Facebook and check your emails. With the welcome announcement of permission to return to training next week, I am pleased to provide a framework for the path forward.... On Friday 5 June 2020 we will ask clubs to resubmit their team nominations for 2020. We are aware that team and player numbers may have changed significantly since February. Our aim, dependent upon Government restrictions, is to commence our community competitions on the weekend of 4/5 July. This gives us a 12 week window to run our competitions, possibly 14 rounds if we include 2 midweek rounds. Further information on the competition and any variation to fees will be provided following the NNSWF Board meeting this Sunday and FMNC Board meeting next week. 2020 will not be like any previous season and FMNC commits to be as flexible as possible in providing competitions for our members.
03.01.2022 Club Statement Lake Cathie Football Club decision to withdraw from the 2020 Football Season due to COVID-19 restrictions. On 13 June 2020, the NSW Government released a COVID-19 Safety Plan template designed to enable community sporting competitions and full training activities to resume, effective 1 July 2020. ... Northern NSW Football and Football Mid North Coast have not yet provided local football clubs with a working version of the Safety Plan. On 22 June 2020, the Lake Cathie Football Club Committee made the difficult decision to withdraw the Club from the 2020 winter football season. https://www.nsw.gov.au//covid-19-safety-plan-community-spo We are aware that this decision will have a direct impact on our registered players and their ability to play the game they love. However, the decision was not taken lightly and was made after ongoing consultations and meetings with other local Football clubs, Football Mid North Coast and Northern NSW Football A number of factors have contributed to the decision, including the uncertainty in relation to and the difficulty in effectively managing a Safety Plan and the ability of club volunteers to implement the plan. Limited preparation time before the season commences, the reduced proposed playing season, the number of volunteers required by the club and added financial pressure were all further contributing factors when making the decision. Lake Cathie Football Club will provide a full refund (minus the Active Kids voucher) to all players that have paid their registration fees. We will now focus on preparing and being ready for a successful 2021 season. If you have any questions about this decision, we encourage you to speak directly to a Club Committee member (President Troy Pemberton, Secretary Peter Briggs)
03.01.2022 Annual General Meeting Reminder Tomorrow we will hold our AGM at Lake Cathie Tavern @ 6.30pm. If you can help out in any way, please come along and introduce yourself to our current committee. We look forward to seeing some new faces. www.lakecathietavern.com.au
02.01.2022 Club Update The NSW State Government has announced today that kids' sport and community sport competitions can commence from July 1. This only applies to those aged 18 years and under. We await further direction from Northern NSW Football and Football Mid North Coast. Training restrictions have not changed, and the club does not have a start date for training. The club has not approved or sanctioned any teams to commence training.... Please notify the club by this Thursday if your child will not be playing in 2020. Please remain patient and continue to follow us on Facebook and monitor your emails for future updates.
