23.01.2022 Weather Conditions We have had a few questions in regards to weather and conditions of trails. ATM avoid all trails at Jollynose MTB Park. We have had over... 20inches of rain in the last 3 weeks and the trails are wet! If you must go to Jollynose forget the bike! Instead take Trimming equipment or shovel to dig drainage for pools of water on the trails. Every bit helps! Or even come to our trim day Saturday 2nd at 8am-10am Wizards Carpark. Share the love of Jollynose MTB Park and please respect the trails.

23.01.2022 While doing a beach clean today I found an old Coca-Cola single use plastic bottle washed up. The date stamp was Nov 03. This is a single use product enjoyed ...by so many people around the world and only used for just a few minutes but has the potential to pollute our oceans for decades and decades. The Coca-Cola Company is the biggest plastic polluter in the world, with a plastic footprint of 2.9 million tonnes per year. I read that Coca-Cola will not ditch single-use plastic bottles because consumers still want them, the firm's head of sustainability told the BBC. Customers like them apparently because they reseal and are lightweight. I will write them a letter about this upsetting find today in the hope that the more letters they receive, the more pressure is put on them to change. And even more upsetting it was found not far from my octopus friends Rockpool home. PS the sea creatures on the bottle were carefully put back in the Rockpool.

05.01.2022 Lake Cathie Renovation Blog: Hi everyone well we have commenced our latest project this past week in beautiful Lake Cathie. We would love you guys to be a p...art of this journey so you can see the process and progress while watching something awesome unfold. We will be looking to post regular update videos and pictures so you can follow us at each different stage and will also look at doing a fortnightly blog. We hope you guys really enjoy this renovation from start to finish. Blog ONE The past 2 weeks have had it’s ups and downs. The asbestos removal was completed by Ian from IEC Demolitions and as always all asbestos removal was done quick, easy and most importantly safely. Thank you Ian and Craig! After this we started to hit some issues. Due to the close proximity to the Lake Cathie foreshore with its beautiful white sands (20 metres away) we had to not only re-engineer our new garage slab piers but also alter our original approach to how we were going to build the rear deck. We came up with an idea to keep the sand out of our pier holes. If you follow our social media stories you would of seen our little trick we did to achieve this We were then back on track and able to pour the garage slab and rear deck footings! Shout out to Mitch and the boys at Zenith Concrete Constructions for doing an amazing job as usual. To finish off the week we spent nearly 3 days plumbing, straightening, planing and sarking the existing external house frame. After a dozen sets of planing blades and a few unhappy carpenters we finished the week strong ready to tackle the next step. Tune in every fortnight for our updated blog.
