We welcome Geelong's The Quick Sixes, a lively outfit playing "Surf-tinged rock and roll, blues, and garage rock".... Bookings are essential and limited because of Covid distancing. We are aiming for tables of 10. For smaller bookings please phone Lois to discuss. Ticket price gets you the famous Lake Edge Burger plus extras, and the opportunity to enjoy great live music. Drinks at bar prices.

23.01.2022 After a day of no power at the cafe, we finally have power back on and are ready for our Burger and Band night! There will be plenty of cold drinks , and a revised menu, with delicious Pizzas being served instead of our burgers. Music by Rhys Crimmin starts at 7, see you all soon!

To make the most of the space we aim to have tables of 10 but there is always room for negotiation. Bookings are essential. The band for the Paella on the Patio nights are a very talented local and not so local band "The Not Quite Dead Yet"

So sorry ,but We have decided to CLOSE Lake Edge Cafe for 2 weeks as we are out of grog starting WED - 5 AUGUST. 12.01.2022 Open again! We are really excited to be getting back to normal. Opening hours are Wednesday to Saturday - 10am til 3pm. Limited to about 10 inside and 15 undercover outside. BOOKINGS would be a great help - please call as we dont always see messages in time. (Text/Phone Lois on 0419 591 660... SHORTER STAYS will help others come in from the cold. MENU will include soups with bread, fruit and cheese, corn fritters with salsa, salmon mouse platter, vietnamese braised beef and a chicken curry on rice. Cheers Lois!

11.01.2022 Unfortunately due to the COVID-19 lockdown we are closed. We will open to offer Take-Aways - Check our FB page for details. Feeling sh..t putting off staff and canceling: Peter the milkman; bread from Rebbeca at loaf and lounge; chicken from Tony Don; cheese from Julian; eggs from Caravan eggs; Lemon Merangue cake from Kristy; skip hire and drinks from Sl reps; PFD reps; Alf the lawn mower man and Ros who cleaned the cottages.... You suddenly realise how many people involved in my little cafe... I am going to miss the team I work with and my customers so much. My heart goes out to every business owner and the decisions they are now making. On the bright side, Tony has suggested a day on the saw bench if I want to fire through the day, Jeremy has suggested I return to cleaning out troughs which I used to do so well (his words) ....... Im not sure if I like getting dirty after more than 5 years in the cafe, a warm sunny environment, savouring the aroma of Vietnam braised beef, scones and Moroccan lamb. The idea of splinters and cow shit isnt doing it for me just yet. Looking forward to the day we re-open and truly wish a healthy and safe time for all of my customers, friends and their families.
