19.01.2022 The 2020 Lake Eildon Fishing Challenge will be held on May 15, 16 and 17 at Jerusalem Creek Marina and Holiday Park. We've been chipping away over the past 9 months, trying to ensure the 2020 comp is another successful one, raising much needed funds for charity. Registration will be announced in the near future. 18.01.2022 After much deliberation, we have decided the 2020 Lake Eildon Fishing Challenge scheduled for May 15, 16 and 17 will be postponed. This decision has been made due to the current Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, with the pandemic warning in place and Victoria's state of emergency, we were already considering it and today's announcement from the government restricting gatherings to 100 people has cemented it. As a charity fundraiser, with a strong link to Variety, The Children...'s Charity, health and safety is our number 1 concern. However we encourage all anglers to get out in the fresh air of the beautiful Lake Eildon region, the lake, pondage and rivers are still open, you can still wet a line whilst maintaining personal hygiene We are working together to ensure the 2020 Lake Eildon Fishing Challenge will go ahead at a later date so stay tuned. 2020 is a year we will all remember for a long time, let's remain calm, enjoy our family time and of course... happy fishing

01.01.2022 Yesterday, Larry made the trip down all the way from Mildura. With rods in the boat and raring to go, he tied on a 100mm JD Eddy Lures python that he found in t...he river back home... that lucky lure will forever be the favourite now after it was smashed by a monster 1.3m Murray Cod. A fish bigger than alot of people have had the chance to see, let alone catch and no doubt one the whole family will remember for a long time. Update: A few have been asking if the fish was returned. It should be noted that it is illegal to keep a Murray Cod in Victoria outside of the slot limit (55-75cm). The family have said they stayed with her while she caught her breath, before watching the fish swim away to grow bigger.
