22.01.2022 Today we launched the lovely Kevin and Sheridan’s pride and joy ‘Southern Star’. It originally had a small fibreglass rear deck that was deteriorating rather quickly so they decided it was time for some upgrades. We started off removing the old rear deck, engine pod, duckboard, ski deck and 1 metre of the pontoon noses.... We then blasted and painted the pontoon’s, extended the rear pontoons, fabricated and installed later model noses (to help the floatation issues), our hydraulic duckboard system, a new engine pod, extended the rear deck, widened the duck board, extended the original ski deck and built another, and installed new merbau decking to the rear deck, duckboard and ski deck’s. The boat has gained a lot of free board and is ready to be enjoyed no matter the lake conditions! 20.01.2022 Sorry for the lack of posts but the last few months have been very busy so here’s a quick snippet of them! Solaris (formerly Happy Hour) hit the water after its huge back to bones renovation. There isn’t much left of the old happy hour besides the pontoons and the interior and it really shows! The clients wanted the boat to be brought up to our standards and be rid of any cover up jobs. After pulling up 3 layers of ply on the roof and gutters we were back to something we c...ould work with. After a lot of hard work of repairing failed repairs it is now as good as new and will be for many years! We also built a new galvanised canopy for a client in Darlingford, if you see the boat just have a look at the quality of the build Old Gold: We built a brand new set of pontoons for O.G to replace the old rounds and get it up out of the water. We then set about extending the rear deck 1200mm, installing rear, mid and front storage pods in the pontoons and built a 200l fuel tank and a 300l sullage tank to go in the new pontoons. O.G has also received a brand new hydraulic duckboard and is in the process of getting a full re roof including converting the old flat roof onto a pitched roof to cater for a potential second story in the future. With numerous blast and paints over the last few months and a few odd jobs it has kept the boys very busy and it’s not stopping any time soon, we’ve got some major renovation jobs coming up and we can’t wait to show you the before’s and after’s! 15.01.2022 Some of the jobs going on in the yard at the moment. Carte Blanche has had its roof extended 1.8m for more shade and will be getting some glass fitted to make it tie in to the original look. It is also getting a 1m pontoon and rear deck extension, stern thruster install and going to a fold up hydraulic duckboard to get as much entertaining room as possible. We also have a boat in to have the hull blasted and painted, two ski decks built and installed and the duckboard extende...d. Both of these client’s have been repeat customers over many years of us operating here and it’s nice to see them returning and supporting our family business. 13.01.2022 ‘Carte Blanche’ has had its fold up duckboard installed and is ready for decking. The fold up 2m duckboard is purely just to maximise the overall size and what a big difference it makes. 13.01.2022 Thursday saw Shaun’s full hull boat go back into the water after it’s duckboard extension, 2 new ski decks and a slip. 08.01.2022 It’s been a flat out few months here at Edwardsbuilt hence the shortage of updates. One of the first ones to go back on the water for Christmas was this Eildon Classic. It came in for a re-roof and ended up getting a full refurbishment! ... The owner had a vision to retain the classic houseboat style with a modern twist and it has been executed beautifully! A huge thank you to Ray for letting us be a part of such a classic timepiece! Stay tuned later this afternoon for the reveal of ‘Southern Star’ on the water! #edwardsbuilt

02.01.2022 Busy day here at EdwardsBuilt! Working class has had the Edwardsbuilt treatment starting with fixing all the aged fibreglass and a full re paint, new allucabond on the side walls downstairs, new internal flooring, duckboard extension from 1500 to 2400 (with upgraded slides) and a blast and paint for the pontoons! Just look at how much newer she now looks!... We also moved ‘Happy Hour’ into the workshop to proceed with its renovation which entails widening the gunnels, rear roof extension, new decking all round, full re clad in allucabond, new hydraulic duckboard and a lot of other little things to bring it back to its former glory! The team is also excited to start works on ‘Southern Star’ which is in for a rear deck extension, pontoon extension, new hydraulic duckboard, new rear stair access, new engine pod paired with a new engine. We’ve got a busy few months on our hands but we will try our best to keep the progress shots coming! #edwardsbuilt #justbuiltbetter
