18.01.2022 Thank you thank you Bruce Gaw!!!!! Netting is by far the worst job to do in the vineyard, especially in gale force winds. This year instead of using the usual v...ine nets we are trialling hay bale net wrap which Bruce used in New Zealand. So this technique was 10 times quicker and NO arguments. We will see how well the netting holds up to wind & sunlight. #walkershillvineyard #netting #netwrap

13.01.2022 This trial was established near Kukerin on the 25th of April 2018 in order to investigate alternative methods of combating/band-aiding acid soils. There are two issues with the current standard practice of broadcasting bulk quantities of limesand. Firstly, lime dumps are hundreds of kilometres from many parts of the wheatbelt high transportation costs. Secondly, common limesand is course and insoluble, meaning it won’t affect the pH below ~5cm, unless incorporated increasing financial outlay. https://www.lgrural.com.au/insig/alternative-liming-methods
