25.01.2022 A great day for the club yesterday with the induction of our first Fairway Villages member Bill Bonham. Welcome aboard Bill. This is the beginning of a long and beneficial connection for our club and The Green, and we are delighted to welcome Bill and all those who follow. We are looking forward to seeing some new faces at the club over the next few years. Happy golfing.

23.01.2022 Here we are 21 days into construction and things are happening at great pace. More to come as it continues to grow.

23.01.2022 Work is underway on the 16th hole with the boys going full steam ahead. A big job to be done with a new 15th green and a new 16th hole to be completed over the next few months. With the excitement of the new greens already being shown by members we can't wait as the full course takes shape.

23.01.2022 The clubhouse construction is coming along nicely with work continuing after the christmas break. Here is a video of the work that has been completed a few weeks after the christmas break.

23.01.2022 Planting has begun again on the course with 300 paperbarks being planted into habitat areas. We are also in the process of revegetating Lake Nerin with endemic wetland species. The club would like to thank all the volunteers that have planted these trees over the past week.

16.01.2022 Last friday saw the opening of the new high performance teaching facility and the start of big things to come down at Lakelands Country Club. The event was enjoyed by all who attended and were able to see the high tech gear on offer to improve everybody's golf game. 12.01.2022 Talk about a man in form. Lakelands member Ryan Peake has had a few weeks to remember with wins at the WAGC amateur open, Pinjarra Open and the Lake Karrinyup bowl. Congratulations Ryan on playing great golf and staying in the winner's circle.

12.01.2022 Congratulations to Gagan Dhaliwal - the 2020 Lakelands Junior Champion. Gagan won his second championship in as many years in a one hole play off against Adam Baillie. Congratulations also to Matthew McLoughlin for winning the Nett event. Special thanks to Junior Captain Freddie Walker for officiating the play off and running presentations - impressive show of leadership. 11.01.2022 With the last few weeks producing a rollercoaster of events for Lakelands Country Club one thing that just keeps moving forward is the construction of the clubhouse. Here is a video of the work being completed since the 27th of February and isn't it starting to look fantastic.

09.01.2022 With works ongoing on the course here are a few pictures of the changes being made around the 15th and 16th holes and how it is all coming together. The 15th green has been seeded and the shaping work has been done around the 15th and 16th greens which are looking fantastic and we can't wait for them to be finished to be enjoyed by all members. We would also like to thank our greens staff for all the hard work they have put into this project.

08.01.2022 Won't be too much longer before we get the keys to the new clubhouse. Things are taking shape nicely and we are soon able to complete the next stage of the carpark & get on to landscaping to finish it all off. We will post a few more images as the fitout nears completion. Stay tuned.

Rita Conway capped off a very impresive year to be crowned the 2020 Lakelands Country Club Ladies Club Champion. Overall Nett Champion honours went to Glenis Saxon who went in with the mindset of 'not coming last.' Some achievement Glenis! Full winners list can be found in this week's newsletter.

05.01.2022 Many thanks to Greg Wilson who has been out doing some course photos for us. Greg will be around the club for a few months capturing the changes and we are looking forward to showing off some of his work. If any of you have some nice shots of your own and are happy for us to use them, we would love you to send them in.

04.01.2022 On Tuesday this week, Federal Member for Cowan Anne Aly joined the Board and Members for a progress update on the works surrounding the club. After a brief meet and greet Dr Aly was escorted around the new clubhouse construction followed by a planting of the very first Peppermint tree in the members car park. Dr Aly also visited the new area surrounding the 15th and 16th greens to learn more of the clubs' Wetlands policy and environmental plan. Many thanks to all the members who attended this special event and we look forward to welcoming Dr Aly back soon for the official Grand Opening.

03.01.2022 We regret to announce that due to the restrictions placed on us to combat the spread of COVID-19 we will be temporarily closing as of 6pm tonight (27/3/2020) We thank everyone for their support over this difficult period and know we will be back better than ever when the time comes. We will be working with a skeleton staff to maintain the course and our operations over the coming period, so please understand if your requests aren't actioned immediately.... We need your support now more than ever to get through this difficult time, and look forward to the restart with the endless possibilities we have. 03.01.2022 Look who was at Lakelands!! Current women's world number 8 Minjee Lee paid a visit to Lakelands playing a round of golf with Lakelands member Ryan Peake. The club would like to thank Minjee for taking the time to take photos with members and sign autographs. It will be a day to remember for all.

02.01.2022 The new greens will be open on January 4 for the Monthly Mug. If you haven't been out here for a while here is a selection of pictures from today. We couldn't be happier with how they have all come up and can't wait to play them. The surfaces are excellent and now just need some foot traffic to settle them in. A huge thanks to all the members for their patience during the rebuild. It has all been worth it. #clubofchoice
