23.01.2022 Lakelands golf club is pleased to announce that honorary member Michael Sim is now available to give lessons to our Members and guests. Michael has played golf at the highest level competing on the USPGA tour for several years reaching the top 50 in the official world golf rankings. He has played in 5 major championships with a best result of tied 18th. Michael has won 7 Professional tournaments around the world and currently holds both the Western Australian Open and Queensland PGA titles. Michael is available for on course lessons over 9 holes or private lessons on the driving range. Michael has a really good understanding of the game and is looking to help any level golfer reach their personal goals. 16.01.2022 On this day we would like to thank our own superintendent Phil Soegaard. Phil has worked at Lakeland’s for over 19 years and in 2017 was named superintendent of the year. Phil shows great leadership to his team and his ability to provide our golfers with a fantastic course each week is a testament to his skills and passion for his job.

12.01.2022 Lakelands Black tee challenge is on tomorrow Wednesday 29th July. Tee available from 630am until 1230pm. Black tee single stroke for GA handicaps 17.6 or better, blue tee single stableford available for everyone else. $15 competition fee for full members, inlcudes some range balls, shared cart, competition fee, bottle of Mt Franklin water and a post game beer. $89 for all guests and visitors.... Next Black tee challenge will be 26th August 2020. Call 5510 6507 to book in your group.

11.01.2022 So with over 370mm of rain in the last week Lakeland’s golf club is still open for play. Carts are strictly to the paths and all bunkers g.u.r. A huge thank you to all our ground staff for getting the course up and playable again.

09.01.2022 The Lady Bear draw on Tuesday 10th November 2020 starting at 830am is now available from the Lakelands website in the announcements section. Registration begins from 7am in the Pro Shop. The ladies highlighted in yellow will need to bring their golflink number on the day as we were unable to find it and therefore enter to our system for scorecard printing.... Unfortunately we are still unable to register the ladies from Southport due to an ongoing issue. We will make sure to email through all scores to Southport Golf Club for handicapping on the day. If you there are any group changes, or you would like to send through your golflink details, please call the pro shop on 07 5510 6507.

08.01.2022 Tuesday 11th August with an 830am shotgun start will be the next lakelands Lady Bear. Tea/coffee on arrival, bottle of mt Franklin water for on course, and a glass of champagne for after the game to go with your 2 course lunch. $30 for Lakelands full members, $89 for all guests and visitors includes some range balls, all the above and a shared motorised cart as well as competition fee and some great prizes.
