07.01.2022 It was great to see so many families on our Zoom meeting tonight! Thank you for the fantastic questions and comments. For those of you who couldn't make it, a summary of what we discussed is below. Please be mindful these are plans with the current COVID restrictions in mind and may change, if restrictions change: School will begin for ES1 2021 on Monday 1st of February. We will be staggering morning drop off on the Monday only and will send a letter out in the next few weeks... with your child's drop off time. For this day, Kindergarten parents will be permitted on site for a short time but will not be permitted in the classrooms. Every other day, school will being at 9am. For all of the first week of school (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th of February) Kindergarten children will need to be picked up from a pick up point near the bottom gate at 2:30pm each day, unless they are booked into Fun Club. An adult will need to be there to pick them up, not an older sibling. We will be undertaking the Best Start Assessment in the first few weeks of school throughout the school day. For the first week, our Kindergarten students will be in one group as the teachers get to know them and decide on classes. Once we have formed classes, we will communicate that with you and will set up our class DoJo profiles for communication and sharing. If you are coming to your uniform appointment tomorrow, please bring any completed forms as there will be a tub at the hall entrance to drop them into. Please ensure forms are returned to our front office by the 5th December. If you have any concerns or questions about your child starting school...send us a private message on Facebook and a Kindergarten teacher will get back to you.

04.01.2022 Today is World Teachers' Day! This year our teachers have worked so hard to continue to teach in circumstances they never imagined. During Remote Learning, they came up with exciting and interesting ways to teach with very little preparation time. Since returning to face to face teaching, they have worked around the clock to make up for lost time. We are so lucky at Lakelands to have dedicated and caring teachers. We hope they enjoy their day...doing what they do best....teach! #happyworldteachersday
