06.01.2022 Currently Australia is gripped by fear over a flu virus sweeping the world. People are fighting in supermarkets over toilet paper and bulk buying dry foods for ...storage in case of forced isolation. Events are being cancelled in an effort to reduce contact with possible carriers of the illness. Casual workforce’s are panicking over their impending loss of income and school children are gripped with fear due to exposure to ongoing media reports. Please keep in mind the number of local independent food and beverage vendors whose livelihoods depend on ongoing events. These vendors adhere to strict sanitisation routines and are dedicated to passing on high standards of hygiene and producing a quality product. The impact of the current pandemic level precautions on these independents is huge. Local independent food and beverage vendors are part of our community and give back to local community in so many ways often donating goods and services to the local communities sporting groups, schools, charities and services despite the low margins on their products. Please look out for your local independent coffee vendors when you are out and about and give thought to how you can support them in the coming months.
