25.01.2022 WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Players from any sport who are 9 years up who want to learn how to get faster to improve their on-field performance. It's also open to Parents and Coaches who would like to be able to teach their kids or team the speed technique. WHAT WE LEARN: I have carefully designed this workshop so that participants learn the basic skills of speed development in a fun and easy-to-understand practical clinic, including:... Speed Mechanics Change of direction Agility Mobility Core strength Acceleration Explosive Power Muscle activation Flexibility WHEN: This coming Saturday 21st November from 9am to 11am. $60 per participant WHY: Everyone is able to get FASTER and more AGILE - it is just a matter of learning the correct technique. Participants will learn how to develop break away speed to leave defenders for dead, catch attackers, be quicker off the defensive line and be able to step around defenders with ease. 24.01.2022 Ryan Prentice from U10s was awarded the 2020 Equipment Manager award today for all his hard work this year. Ryan is unable to play due to a heart condition but still plays a major role as part of the team. Ryan has the important job of water and tee runner and loves every minute with the team.

15.01.2022 With the 2021 season kick off just around the corner can we please make sure parents, coaches and managers have exchanged numbers or you have been added to group msg so no important information is missed. Messages to the rugby page are sometimes missed through the course of a work day. I would hate for kids to miss out on a great season because of lost or miss translated messages.

James first came to the club a keen u13s player and progressed into grade playing several years in 1st and 2nd grade. James was a great club person and leader for the younger kids who made many friends on and off the field. Diffo you will be sadly missed.

04.01.2022 As you are all aware, the Covid pandemic has knocked us around abit. The rugby club has not been immune to this, and with decreased income from game days and limited opportunity to hold raffles and other fundraisers, we are asking our Roo’s Family for help. We have started a fundraising campaign to help us sure up the future of the club and to make sure that we will be on the rugby field for many years to come!! Whilst we know that everyone is doing it tough at the moment, we... assure you that any donation will go a long way to getting our juniors back on the field!! Any and all donations will help!! Now is also the perfect time to reduce your tax, with the end of financial year only a few days away!! All donations over $2 are tax deductable. So if it’s just the couple of dollars you’d spend on beer and steak sandwich at Walters Park, or a larger amount, just know that you will be playing a massive part in the future of the Lake Macquarie Rugby Club.
