21.01.2022 Lake Macquarie High School NAIDOC Day LMHS is openly inviting all school community parents and caregivers to our 2018 NAIDOC assembly being held at 9am on the ...27th of July 2018. Students will be engaged in activities throughout the day to celebrate our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture. At the assembly we will be presenting awards and announcing significant community projects that will be launched this year. See you all on the 27th of July! Brendan Maher - Principal

15.01.2022 Massive Science Achievement for LMHS Student Congratulations to Millie Sarginson for her success in being chosen to participate in the 2019 National Youth Scien...ce Forum, in Canberra next January. Millie is now placed in the top 600 science students from across Australia. This is a lighthouse program that has been motivating and inspiring Australia's future scientists and engineers since 1983. Thankyou to the Rotary Club of Warners Bay for their support and encouragement of Millie as she progressed through the selection process. Well done Millie!! Brendan Maher - Principal (NSSS 1994)

13.01.2022 The closing date for the Photography Competition has now been extended until the Friday of Week1 Term 4. This allows students the school holidays to work on the...ir entries. The theme is ‘ORANGE’ and it is only one entry per student. Everyone is welcome to enter! Don’t forget to put your name in the subject line when emailing your photo to the school. 11.01.2022 Wellness program session two: Coach Nick demystified all the nutrition jargon to explain what is really important for a growing body and a healthy mind. A valua...ble open discussion was had on approaches to diet, the supplement myth and eating for wellness. Then it was back to our functional fitness to show the benefits of 20 mins of movement can invigorate us back into focus. Who doesn't love a chin up challenge! Year 12 have learnt a great deal from our two sessions and are hoping to explore more ideas next term. Coach Nick talked us through some inspiring mindset growth lessons. 09.01.2022 **Breakfast Program** This week we fired up the BBQ for our breakfast club, organised by our school chaplain Rochelle and Luke Sutherland. Students have health...y options such as fresh fruit, juice and bacon and egg sandwiches. A great start to Sport day! Students are encouraged to be involved and volunteer to prepare and serve during the program. It will be held at the C Block BBQ area each Thursday morning. Brendan Maher - Principal

08.01.2022 This year we are collecting Coles vouchers for sports for schools. This will assist with our many programs such as Craig Johnston Cup and building our teams for...
