21.01.2022 To our valued campers, Due to the recent covid outbreak and QLD government shutdown of non essential businesses including campgrounds, Wally and Sharon have made the decision to move back to Victoria. We would like to thank all our guests over the past 2.5 years for making this experience enjoyable. Further information regarding the campgrounds future will be made after the government bans are lifted.... PLEASE NOTE THE CAMPGROUND IS ONLY TEMPORARILY CLOSED DUE TO THE VIRUS. 21.01.2022 We have received some great news this afternoon! The lake is now reopened to all water activities! Thank you for your patience during this time.



20.01.2022 We are fully booked for the Easter Break. Day passes will not be available during this period.

19.01.2022 Our lakeside area is looking much better than it did a few weeks ago. It’s so nice to see some green grass - we have even had to pull the lawnmower out of retirement!

14.01.2022 We apologise for all the posts, but we are trying to keep you all informed with news as we receive it. We have been getting a few questions in regards to still using the lake for recreation, please see below information we received this afternoon.



08.01.2022 WE'RE RE-OPENING!!! Lake Maroon Camping Ground will be re-opening on the 12th of June 2020. To comply with QLD Health Covid-19 restrictions we are limiting the maximum number of guests to 20 people with restrictions as below: - Maximum of 20 guests on the campground at one time.... - Camping will be allowed on Friday & Saturday nights with preference given to campers who stay both nights and are self contained. - NO DAY PASSES for the lakeside will be available, booked campers access only at this stage. - Booking for QLD school holidays (27th June - 12 July 2020) will be a minimum of 2 nights and preference given to longer stays. - Booking for the houses MUST be completed online www.maroondam.com.au and a maximum occupancy of 10 people applies and a minimum of a 2 night stay. CHANGING OF PRICING $18 per night per adult $12 per night per child $4 per night for powered sites (only 4 available) - Kiosk will be closed. Ice will be available $5 per bag. - Showers will NOT be available due to Covid-19 restrictions. - Toilet blocks will be available - Request for bookings must be made via email to: [email protected] - Confirmation of accepted bookings will be returned via emailed to you with instructions for payment. No booking, then no camping. - Strict rules will apply 1. If you don't get a confirmation of booking, there is no more vacancy. 2. Do NOT bring others guests not listed on your booking, they will be turned around and not permitted to stay and you will also not be permitted to stay. NO REFUNDS. 3. ID will be required on arrival 4. If payment is not received by Wednesday 12:00pm, your allocated campsite will be offered to another guest. We welcome your business and with re-opening we need to comply with QLD health Covid-19 regulations and social distancing rules. People found not following rules will be requested to leave immediately and banned from the property. We cannot afford to break the rules and get a fined imposed. 05.01.2022 A quick update for our campers: The campground is currently closed and will remain so until further notice, no bookings will be taken, nor day passes issued. When a decision is made in regards to the campgrounds future a Facebook post will be made. We thank you for your patience during this time.

04.01.2022 Update: A number of popular areas in our national parks will close from tomorrow to help contain the spread of COVID-19. Full list of closures and exemptions: ...https://parks.des.qld.gov.au It includes picnic areas, toilet facilities, lookouts, popular walking tracks, swimming areas and four-wheel drive beach recreation areas. #coronavirus

03.01.2022 IMPORTANT NOTICE CONCERNING THE CAMPGROUND In regards to our post yesterday we have decided as of today to make the hard decision to close the campground until at least the 30th of June 2020. Any bookings prior to this date will be refunded over the next few days. Please be patient whist this process takes place. Any bookings from the 1st of July 2020 will be subject to any advice given by the Queensland Government. ... We do ask that you do not call, as you can imagine there has been an influx of calls and it just isn’t possible to get back to them all. 01.01.2022 COVID 19 UPDATE: as of today after much discussion we have made the following decisions regarding the campground: FURTHER RESTRICTIONS WILL BE MADE PENDING ANY GOVT DECISIONS IN THE COMING DAYS REGARDING CLOSURES OF NON ESSENTIAL BUSINESSES AND NON ESSENTIAL TRAVEL... 1. We will honour any bookings made prior to 10am 23/3/20. 2. We are NOT taking any new bookings from 10am 23/3. Including day passes. We are trying to minimise the risk of spread to ourselves and the public as per govt guidelines.
