25.01.2022 Happy to report that eight local sporting groups have had small grants approved to upgrade their facilities or equipment. The grants are made available under th...e State Government's Local Sport Grant Program. If your sporting club could do with a hand, phone my office (4959-3200) for more details on the next round of funding. This year's recipients include Boolaroo Bowling and Rec Club, Macquarie Shores Swim Club, Lake Macquarie Crocs Masters Swimming Club, Rathmines Bowling Club, Toronto Awaba Junior FC, Lake Macquarie Lakers Baseball Club Inc., Southern Lakes United Football Club and Toronto Croquet Club. 16.01.2022 JUNIOR NEWS NBA will be running a junior competition this year July till December. We now have a number of kids within the club who have shown interest, If someone is interested in setting this up please let me know asap. If not I will advise the board we are not interested. Before we kick off our junior registration and training in July the NBA would like to arrange a Zoom meeting for junior club Secretaries. Mark Marino the CEO of Baseball NSW will be in attendance at this meeting and will be able to clarify our registration process and the use of active kid vouchers etc. Mark is only available on Friday nights so we would like to hold this meeting on either Friday 19th or 26th June.
