08.01.2022 LAKES ON VIEW STREET: The last 5 days diary - we arrived Friday and understood the extreme weather conditions for Saturday and Monday. Sunday lunchtime we decided to stay due to our homes proximity to water and also being in the main part of town. On Monday we could no longer leave. All of us in Lakes are safe and sound, tourism is operating as normal. We wanted to share some pics with you and take the opportunity to thank our volunteers and services for their dedication and service above and beyond. Weve had police stop and check in at home and whilst walking. Navy personnel check in while walking.
