20.01.2022 As of the 24th March 2020, due to the current public health emergency, the Lakes and Craters Holiday Park is closed to holidaymakers until further notice. However, the Lakes & Craters Holiday Park will remain open for essential travellers. Self-contained cabin accommodation and powered sites for self-contained caravanners and campers are also available. This is in response to the significant number of international and interstate tourists that have been struck by the closing of Australias borders. 14.01.2022 We are dancing on sunshine with the announcement of some more good news As of this Monday, 1st June, we will begin opening up some facilities, beginning with the Outdoor Playground. Our communal bathrooms, kitchens, BBQs remain closed while we await further announcement, we will be taking bookings for self contained Caravans and Motorhomes that have a working toilet and shower inside. ... Keeping in mind, Of course, social distancing requirements remain in place across the whole park. 14.01.2022 COVID-19 Update: Thursday 26 March 2020 Lakes and Craters Holiday Park is now closed as of midnight 25 March 2020. As a further measure to try and contain the spread of COVID-19, the Victorian government has mandated that all caravan and camping parks must close at midnight, 25 March 2020, to all tourists, holidaymakers and annuals.... The ONLY exceptions are for residents who live permanently on-site, travellers trying to make their way home or travellers living on the road who do not have a permanent place of residence. Parks can also open to workers whose primary residence is not available due to the distance between their home and their worksite. Under this state government directive, unfortunately, annuals MUST NOT, and will not, be admitted to our park. We understand that this is frustrating news for many of our loyal visitors and annuals but in the interests of public health, we must all work together to eliminate COVID-19. We thank you for your continued co-operation and support as we implement these changes. If you have a booking with us or you are one of our annuals, you will have received an email directly. 13.01.2022 The count down is for Tom Curtains concert at the Camperdown showgrounds on February 16. The show will be a fantastic opportunity to come along and listen to some great music from both Tom and his travelling partner Chris Mathews while supporting Dollys Dream and raising money for bushfire relief. Tom will also be performing with his team of working dogs and horses that will entertain everyone from toddlers to grandparents. Well have a well stocked bar and the bbq cooking up a feast. First and foremost, the health and safety of our family, staff and guests are of paramount importance. We are a family owned and operated park and at this point in time, we will be trading with business as usual unless we are advised otherwise by the health authorities.... If the situation changes, we will act accordingly and advise all guests immediately. We are asking that if you are planning to visit us, please monitor your health and if you are displaying any symptoms outlined by the health authorities, do not attend and please cancel your plans with us. This is obviously for the health and safety of all. We are all in this together and we wish everyone stays safe and healthy. 09.01.2022 Today, the Lakes and Craters Holiday Park has had to make the heart breaking decision to advise all of our guests planning to travel to our park, that they should postpone their travel plans for now. We believe it is our civic duty to ask all of our guests not to attend under the present circumstances. We understand this is not the holiday that they may have planned for their family, but our number one priority is the health and wellness of our guests, staff and wider commun...ity and we need to take this seriously. We have further made the decision to minimise potential infection to our team members and guests by closing some common areas from today. All non-essential services and communal facilities will be temporarily closed or suspended until further notice. These non-essential services and facilities include all shared bathroom amenities, the Camp Kitchens, Trampolines and Playground. We remain open for essential travellers, however we want to do our bit to flatten the curve so, for the health of our extended communities we will only be accepting self-contained caravans. This is in response to the significant number of international and interstate tourists that have been struck by the closing of Australias borders. We are about to reduce to a skeleton staff as we all do our best to do the right thing. ***CANCELLATIONS*** If you have a booking with us, you will receive an email shortly outlining our credit and cancellation policy. Naturally, we would prefer that you postpone your stay to a later date so that when this crisis is over, you can enjoy a great family holiday. We understand how disappointing this is for everyone.
