All our staff tests are back and they are all negative This means we are back and flinging open the doors at 10am TOMORROW All areas are open including the bistro, cafe and sports bar ... Woodbine Tourist Park is open and for our registered bowlers - Twilight Bowls is back tomorrow night! We cannot thank you all enough for your support Lakes Entrance. 24.01.2022 What a year it’s been! And while we’re all delighted to have you back at the Bowlo, if 2020 has taught us anything it’s that family is the most important thing. That’s why this year, we’re sending our staff home to spend Christmas Day with their families.... We’ll be here for you right up until close on Christmas Eve, and we’ll be back on Boxing Day serving meals, drinks and sharing in the cheer. Dinner bookings highly recommended, we don’t want you to miss out!

23.01.2022 IMPORTANT UPDATE for our members and visitors..... Remember back when we were all set to reopen and the guidelines changed from 50 guests per area to 20, overnight? At that time we decided that having already ordered stock, engaged staff and tapped the kegs, it was important to reopen and be there for our staff, our bowlers and our community. ... The expansion to 50 patrons per area seemed just around the corner at that time..... but oh how things have strung on! As part of our regular review of systems and guidelines, we have made a decision that we feel is in the best interest for our staff, our members and our community. The club will close again after lunch service today, Tuesday 21st July. Bowling will return to greens access only, for members only. As before, no facilities will open - please contact the bowls secretary for greens access. It’s important to note that this is in no way related to local news today, or any factors other than doing what we feel is best practice. We’re going to head back home, keep washing our hands and wear our masks in places we can’t distance, just like you. And then, when our region gets to open up a little more and welcome 50 guests per area (that’s 150 guests for us), we’ll be back. And we’ll be here for you just like we always have.... Thankyou for your ongoing support, thankyou for letting us be part of your day, your lunch and your evening meal. We can’t wait to see you again really soon. 20.01.2022 We understand that today’s developments may make locals and visitors alike a little nervous. With this in mind, we’ve brought back some of the previously advised measures for your additional protection and comfort. From today, we’ll be ... Reducing the number of guests in the club at any one time. We’ll take digital temperature tests on entry Entry will therefore return to the front door for all visitors including members, guests and bowlers. On arrival please take a seat ** Don’t forget you’ll need your mask until seated, and again if heading to bathrooms, ordering a meal or ordering at the bar - sanitiser is available on entry. 19.01.2022 Reopening news The Lakes Entrance Bowls Club is COMING BACK THIS THURSDAY, 22nd Oct Finally!! After what feels like an eternity with the lights off we’re flinging open the doors and welcoming you all back in.... We’ll be open for meals in the bistro, drinks in the sports bar, café treats @Zephyr Café... and we can’t wait Now then, before we all get too carried away with excitement we need to let you know about some important rules - Due to capacity numbers we’ll require bookings for all dining. We’d hate you to come to see us and we’re not able to seat you, so please call and book ahead. - Sign in to dine in. We’re all used to to this by now, you’ll need to present your photo ID or members card and sign in at reception - Maximum 10 people per area, with max 40 people in the venue. We’ll make sure that each area has no more than 10 people and each group is seated at least 1.5mt from the next. - Masks are required to enter, exit and move around the venue. You can take it off while seated to eat or drink though! Now that’s all out of the way, let’s get to the good stuff.... Bookings for Thursday’s re-opening (and all other days) can be made from noon Thursday’s and will be for 1.5hrs dining. We have new hours! Thursday’s 4pm - 8:30pm Friday’s & Saturday’s 10am - 8:30pm Sunday’s 10am - 4pm And a new selected menu featuring our most popular dishes! 17.01.2022 We’re excited to let you know that we’re almost ready to make a come back! Of the staff that undertook testing, over half have received their results and every single one is negative!! We’re just waiting for the rest of the results to come in and if they all follow suit, we expect to re-open on Friday. ... Thankyou so much for all your support, it’s been genuinely overwhelming to read all your messages. We’re so proud to be part of such a brilliant and strong community

16.01.2022 Dear Members and guests... following changes to DHHS & Victorian Government regulations Wearing of masks indoors will be compulsory from 5pm 31/12/20 This means you must wear a mask AT ALL TIMES while moving about the club, unless sat to eat or drink. ... The club applies a No Mask No Entry policy in line with its rights under protection of staff and patrons. We ask that you treat staff with kindness and respect. It’s no fun wearing masks for them either and we simply have no choice but to implement the rules. We know this is a hassle after all we’ve gone through together, but let’s keep working together as we’ve done all 2020 and celebrate the new year safely. Cheers, and a Happy New Year to you & yours. 15.01.2022 It’s finally here...... The Bowlo is Back!!!! It’s been a long time since we’ve been able to welcome our regulars and guests back to the Bowlo and honestly, we can’t wait. On Monday we’ll be flinging open the doors at 10:00am to pour our first beer, then fire up the kitchen for the first lunch in three months!... Tab & Keno will be operating, and like the bar are available without meal purchase. In the bistro, we’ve taken care of distancing, worked out our capacity and we are good to go - even with all those last minute changes announced on Saturday It’s a slightly reduced menu for now but we’ve made sure all your favourites are there for lunch and dinner, just waiting to be enjoyed. Important notes: Drinks can be enjoyed without a meal, while seated at a table. In line with guidelines all guests will be required to ‘sign in before you dine in’. We really recommend booking for the bistro, we expect to be busy and we don’t want you to miss out if we’re at capacity. That’s it, you’re updated! We’re excited!! 15.01.2022 Mark Monday 22nd June in your diary!! Because WE. ARE. BACK!!! We have missed you and we know you’ve missed the bowlo, so now that the restrictions are easing, let’s get back into getting together. ... From Monday 22nd June we’ll begin opening for dinner only, with 2 sittings every night at 5:30 & 7:00pm. All guests will served meals by our staff, right to your table. Drinks may be served with meals, but we won’t be serving drinks only at this stage. Guests will need to sign in with their name, phone number and arrival time. That’s all guests, not just the person who made the booking. We will make sure that your dining experience includes all the things you know you need, but don’t want to worry about - like distanced tables, thorough cleaning and contactless payment options. We’ll take care of all that, you sit back, relax and enjoy being out of the house again! Phone bookings for dinner at the Bowlo will open soon, but right now you can reserve your table by messaging us with your name, number, date you’re booking in for and either 5:30 or 7:00pm sitting. 14.01.2022 Last night my husband Matt,his sister Anna and I were very happy to be having dinner at the Lakes Entrance Bowls club. Was wonderful to see the staff. Lots of Covid safety guidelines but still a very enjoyable evening of good food ,drink and lots of happy smiles

11.01.2022 In the interest of our members, staff and guests we have decided to use an abundance of caution and close our doors for two days from 6pm tonight. While we have had no cases or indications of covid at the club, several of our staff have undertaken covid testing and with our large staff numbers and the club being natural a gathering place... We feel the responsible things to do is to press pause until tests come back and details are clearer for our community as a whole. ... 03.01.2022 In line with the temporary closure of the Bowls Club, our accommodation venue Woodbine Tourist Park will not be taking new bookings for the moment. We’re sorry for the inconvenience, but just like at the club our responsibility to staff, guests and community extends to Woodbine. Communal facilities including showers, bbq & kitchen will remain closed until we’re all back on deck in a few days - when the picture is clearer. ...
