06.01.2022 The fathers and sons of C grade. Great to have these guys all playing together and that the boys have their dads covered in all facets. Unfortunately we fell short in all three grades against some strong opposition yesterday, but another opportunity presents itself next week. B and C grades at home next week against Paynesville, the U16s also meet the Gulls, and A grade at Lucknow.

03.01.2022 Good day for the Seagulls yesterday with our first wins for C grade and the under 16s, both coming against Wy Yung. Anna and Zoe Quinsey-Munro each took three wickets in the senior win, while James Daly made 29 in the juniors. A grade dismissed West Bairnsdale for 167 at home (Mark Hopgood 5 wickets) and will resume at 0/20 next week. ... B grade fought hard in its loss to West Green, with skipper Blake Herridge again among the runs. Back on the track this week with dinner after training on Thursday night!

01.01.2022 What a day it was Saturday! This dynamic duo, Jacob Brewer and Ryan Hooper, both smashed their first centuries for the Seagulls, combining for a huge 203-run opening partnership to set up a massive nine-wicket win against Meerlieu as we chased down 283 with nine overs to spare. Big Brewski - opening the batting for the first time this season - belted 14 fours and two sixes, making 110 from 151 balls. Great work Brew!... Yogi Bear dug his heels in, batting all day to bring up his maiden century, finishing unbeaten on 113 off 218 balls. Just reward for the club president, who puts in a mountain of work on and off the field. Congratulations Pres, thoroughly deserved. A great result heading into Christmas, and celebrated well with a great meal and a set of classics from resident musician, Jim Allen, with support from guitar guru, Chris Darling, and passionate vocalist, Brett Jackish. Enjoy your Christmas, stay safe, and we’ll see you in the New Year, hopefully with more of this sort of news to report.
