For cold one night I will be sleeping out in the cold with hopes that others don't have to go through experiencing it. Unfortunately 116,000 people in Australia are homeless- 9,000 are in our own backyard in Western Australia. ... This will be my 5th year participating in this wonderful cause. Over the past 4 events s in total raised thanks to family, friends and our Group of IGA Stores I have managed to raised $13,490. This year I'm is looking to raise $5,000 that will aid Vinnies in providing food and emergency accomodation of those less fortunate than us. He's been out and about and last week he visited Perth Rotary - Western Australia to present Magic Coat for Kids a cheque for $1,000. Last year our Group of IGA Stores held fundraisers for Magic Coat Day and we topped up the donations round it off. Founder Di Wilcox is a fantastic ambassador for the health of wellbeing of young children. The Magic Coat provides... the social and emotional tools for children so they can be at their best and unlock their full potential. We are proud to be supporting such a fantastic organisation espeically with so many young kids in the Byford Community. Also we wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you for the community for your continued support in shopping locally. Not only are you getting the best products and best service in Town but it allows us to give more back to the community.
