23.01.2022 IMPORTANT READ - COLLECTION OF TROPHIES This year because of the Covid rules we are unable to have our traditional presentation day . Whilst committee is extremely disappointed that we cant have the great days of the past we do not want children missing out on one of their proudest moments of the year being presented with a trophy . Therefore we have looked at the last few home games and have split it up over the coming weeks and allocated teams accordingly.... As soon as your game is finished on the allocated day you will be expected to gather as a team , the coach will present your trophy to you and then the children will be given a ticket by their coach to get a free sausage sizzle, drink, bag of lollies and a 2020 Lakeside Lions soccer ball. Whilst it is not going to be the fan fare of a normal presentation day Im sure all children will feel special on the day. COACHES It is extremely important that you gather at the club house straight after your game to collect the trophies, PARENTS We will not be able to hand out trophies if your not available the allocated week. Therefore you will need to get it from your coach after the event. Please don’t ask We will be cooking lots of sausages over the coming weeks so if your team is allocated to do BBQ duties please don’t let the team down. 18.01.2022 The committee have all agreed that there will be no new price rises for the 2021 season based on the 2020 season. As a club we try very hard to keep fees as low as possible so it's affordable for all families therefore we are proud that there will be no increase for 2021! 2021 Fees will be... U5-U9 $160 U10-U11 $180 Graded U12 and up $200 INCLUDING Shorts,Socks,Training shirt and playing shirt on the day. 15.01.2022 The Club will be holding the Annual General Meeting 8th November 2020 at Webb Park Club House at 10am sharp. All committee positions are declared vacant and a committee for the 2021 season is elected. ITS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to get more parents involved in this great club.... We encourage anyone interested in being more involved with the club to come along and become part of the committee. Without volunteers the club cannot operate. They are all voluntary positions. You can be a general committee member without the responsibilities of the executive committee we just need help to run game days smoothly, and more importantly shape the club for the future. Don’t be shy we all were uncertain at first but quickly you understand its a rewarding role to play. Team App has a list of roles and what is necessary to apply for such roles. 10.01.2022 As the 2020 season is now in full swing with only weeks to go I would like to thank everyone who has volunteered their time to help out during our match days at Lakeside Lions. The level of volunteer support we get from our members and their families is one of the things that makes Lakeside Lions so strong. Our Committee contributes so many hours throughout the season . They are always the first ones at the fields on a Saturday morning and the last to leave in the late aftern...oon. This excludes the many, many hours of work done behind the scenes by our hard working Committee to bring it all together, To all the wonderful parents that have helped to date on the BBQ without your help we could not supply breakfast, brunch and lunch for so many people. Thank you to the hours of time given by our Coaches and Managers training and administering our teams each week. For a lot of you it’s your first year and we all know how daunting it may be and to our seasoned coaches you are mentors to all our kids.
