May they always hold a special place in our hearts. Moving into 2021, let us leave behind what pulled us down and take with us the strength we have found in ourselves and each other. 21.01.2022 On Friday 20 March 2020, Lakeside Memorial Park will pay homage to the relics of a French saint during a stopover on their four-month pilgrimage of Australia organised by the Catholic Mission. The relics of St Thrse of Lisieux, and those of her parents Saint Louis Martin and Saint Zlie Martin, will be displayed for public viewing from 12.45 pm. A Prayer Service will be attended by Fr Schmitzer. The four-month national pilgrimage is the first time in 18 years the relics are visiting Australia and Lakeside Memorial Park is one of only a handful of non-denominational memorial parks chosen to host them. The relics arrived in a hearse from Hansen & Cole Funerals, which was entrusted with transporting them through the Illawarra area. 15.01.2022 Due to the amount of rainfall received and forecasted weather for the coming days, areas of our Park now require remediation work, with the lawn burial sections needing the most attention. The Grounds team focus on this as a priority as soon as the weather permits and the grounds are dry enough. Carrying out work at this time and while the grounds are wet will cause further damage to the Park. We appreciate your understanding during this significant weather event. Please do not hesitate to reach out to our office if you have any questions. http://ow.ly/ye0r50E4ddS

09.01.2022 In these challenging times, we remain committed to the safety and wellbeing of the local community, the families we serve and our dedicated team members. We appreciate there are additional considerations when it comes to attending social gatherings and we want to reassure the community we uphold the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness and have organised all our facilities within the social distancing guidelines. In response to recommendations from the NSW Government... made on August 2, we are also ensuring our staff wear face masks at funeral services and during arrangements at our memorial park and families may also wish to wear masks at this time. We have made this decision based on the health advice that the wearing of masks is the fourth line of defence in addition to staying home if unwell, exceptional hand hygiene and social distancing. Keeping everyone safe and respecting your loved ones is our priority. We are here for you 24/7. See more

04.01.2022 Remembering all the beautiful women in our lives this Mothers Day...

04.01.2022 There is no questioning the profound sadness felt with the loss of a baby or child. The impact this has on a family is devastating. Today is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day - a day we would gather for a service to remember the young lives no longer with us. As this is not possible this year, let us remember them in other ways: visiting their memorial, lighting a candle, taking a moment of silence, or by sharing photos or memories.

03.01.2022 The Year of the Ox - the Ox is a highly regarded animal due to its role in agriculture and its desired attributes of being hardworking, honest and diligent. It is also the first time since 1961 that we have seen the Year of the Metal Ox, and predictions say that this year will be a turning point from the last, a year to get the ball rolling again.
