18.01.2022 First man home on the 40th anniversary of the Cradle Mountain Run is Matthew Crehan! Matthew, we congratulate you on coming home first. On only his second attempt at the Cradle Mountain Run (an extreme adventure sport), Matthew Crehan has successfully completed the Overland Track (from start to finish) in just 8 hours and 23 minutes (8:23:05.2). The first man back said the track was "just a little slippy".

The lodge is now closed to customers but rest assured our staff will be busy over the next few months ensuring we are ready to receive guests when the dust has settled.
