23.01.2022 Lakeview Eyecare and COVID-19 Lakeview Eyecare is still open and will remain open if possible. For your safety, we are taking the following steps to minimise the risk of infection above and beyond our normal infection control practices:... -All spectacle frames tried on by customers are disinfected before being returned to the shelves. -All patients are screened when making appointments over the phone or online. -All equipment is disinfected between patients. Of course our normal practices such as washing hands and sterilisation of ophthalmic equipment continues.We have also instituted free delivery of all contact lenses and other products where delivery is possible. We hope you are well and coping with this unprecedented situation. To minimise risk of transmission of the virus, we are reducing hours and limiting the type of appointments we are seeing. Of course we have strict disinfection protocols in place.... ONLY MAKE AN APPOINTMENT IF: If you have an emergency, we will be able to see you immediately. Please call first to confirm we are open. If you have an urgent condition that requires a treatment that cannot wait 6 weeks we will be able to see you. If your glasses are broken or need urgent repairs, we can repair your glasses. If your care has been delayed, and further delay will worsen your condition. If you have a chronic condition that requires regular review. Please note that you will be required to wear a mask at your visit, and DO NOT bring anyone into the practice with you If you just want a routine check, we cannot examine your eyes at the moment. An urgent problem includes any condition that is affecting your daily living, such as lost glasses, changes in your vision, new symptoms. Chronic conditions such as diabetes need regular monitoring to maintain your vision. Do not delay these appointments. Please note that you may be required to wear a mask at your visit. IF YOU HAVE GLASSES TO COLLECT: If you have ordered glasses, you are welcome to collect them, however we would prefer to post them to you at no charge. Please follow these procedures:... IF YOU NEED EMERGENCY CARE Please call the Eye and Ear Hospital on 9929-8666. They will be able to advise on whether your situation is an emergency and where to go. IF YOU HAVE AN URGENT PROBLEM Please call us on 9772-9255 and leave a message if necessary, or send us an email at [email protected]. We will respond as quickly as possible. An examination at Lakeview with Robert can be arranged if necessary. IF YOU NEED MORE CONTACT LENSES We would prefer if you visit our online store, or you can send us an email and we'll be in touch ASAP. Your contact lenses can easily be posted to you. IF YOU URGENTLY NEED NEW GLASSES We can arrange for a repeat pair of glasses to be made for you and posted. If you need a repair, at this stage we are unfortunately unable to help.
