12.01.2022 Good Afternoon We have seen lots of dogs attacks in Wyndham every year and the cases have increased in the recent past. We had few attacks in Point Cook as well where owners had their dogs off-leash. However, I understand that dog owners want dogs to have some time off the leash but it is creating a lot of fear in the people around. ... I personally, with suggestions from Community members, have complained to Council about this and also requested more off-leash parks for dogs in Point Cook and surrounds. This will give more options to the dog owners to take their dogs for free time. Maybe, the Council needs to run information sessions as well to create more awareness amongst the dog owners about the concerns of the public. There also have to be strict rules and consequences attached for irresponsible behaviour that creates panic in the general community. A long term solution is required here. Lets fight this together and make our Community safe.
