25.01.2022 Small intimate wedding, mid spring here at Lalla Flower Farm. Just some of the flowers installed for the ceremony and reception, both in the chapel.

25.01.2022 With the final open day now done, I share some highlights of the last few weeks.

24.01.2022 Bouquet I’m excited - the garden has an abundance of flowers already even though it’s mid winter...From this point it snowballs over the next couple of months with floral sensory overload!

24.01.2022 Daffodils globe

23.01.2022 Rhodos, vireyas, luculia, rannunculus, anemones, jonquils, daffodils, wattle.....what’s not to love about mid winter?

21.01.2022 Delivered to a local cellar door this morning.

19.01.2022 Last day of winter

17.01.2022 The joy of cutting florals foraged from this garden parkland, preparing them for an arrangement, then making something of beauty destined as a gift for someone special, is an experience I can offer to share at this time of year. Details to follow.....

16.01.2022 I think my favourite couple of weeks- last few days of winter and first few weeks of spring. So many lovely blooms to pick and use in bouquets and arrangements. A feast of colour, scents and of corse, my favourite flowers in full flush. Daffys!

15.01.2022 In a former iteration of life I was a painter. I have always loved working in big scale, and with flowers I find I’m usually happiest working on big arrangements. I’m lucky to have so much botanical material at my disposal, with the gardens being a 100 acre wonderland of floral delight. As an artist, I am comfortable working with colour - sometimes the pallets is monochromatic, as with this piece, but sometimes it’s just playful with complimentary or even opposite colours. Nature is the best advisor and inspiration.as the Great Gardener himself is the author of all colour theory

14.01.2022 Another cellar door delivery. As we move toward the great blooming of the rhodos, more and more options for colour combos emerge. I just run with the most eye catching blooms and build my arrangement around that starting point. This one began with a couple of gorgeous trusses from lapoinya lollipop just opening, a deep magenta pink which lightens as it unfolds. Red rhodos (various) plus red and pink rannunculus pad it out, with the velvet rust foliage from magnolia and my secret ingredient....fern fronds just uncurling...to complete the picture. Do you like it?

12.01.2022 Slight change, just added a couple more dates for open garden this spring.

11.01.2022 Spring table centrepiece featuring rhodos, azaleas, rannunculus (nearly finished), with guest appearances by Waratahs, forget-me-nots, snapdragons, foxgloves. And from my sadly neglected veggie patch - chives!

11.01.2022 Large arrangement using winter abundance from the farm

08.01.2022 First daffys to add into the mix

06.01.2022 Year round lush seasonal bouquets and vase arrangements. Fresh picked and grown mostly on the farm. Variety of blooms including traditional garden varieties, rare exotics and foraged natives. Sustainably locally grown, artfully styled. Phone for your order 0458954175.

05.01.2022 Absolute full-on peak blooming of the old rhodos now at the gardens. Open garden Saturday and Sunday this coming weekend 10-4. They’re peaking early this year I think?

02.01.2022 Jansz cellar door flowers, a mix of Tasmanian natives and farm flowers.

02.01.2022 Bouquet of winter bulbs, luculia, daphne and several vireyas.

01.01.2022 Large early spring arrangement for Jansz. I love creating these big statement pieces! Can’t wait for the wedding season to come!
