02.01.2022 Senior Results Round 9 Two out of four wins for the senior sides this week. The Money Shield boys chased down a big Old Paradians score winning with one wicket to spare. Jamie Scott and Mitch Hayse the best with the ball whilst Josh Nixon and Steve Kemp the best with the bat and Ricky Mittica seeing us over the line on one leg. ... Unfortunately for the B Grade boys a top order collapse saw us not make enough with Banyule getting the runs with 5 wickets and a bit over 2 overs to spare. Andreas Jordanidis the pick of the bowlers and Riley Scott and Luke Miranda again the best of the bats for two weeks running. The 3rd XI chased down a big Old Paradians score with just one ball remaining. Needing 44 off 5 overs with three wickets in hand, Chris Higgins and Mikhail Godinho got us over the line with one ball to spare. The 4th XI unfortunately couldn't get going with the bat on the slow synthetic ground at Mill Park Lakes Reserve. Restricting the Lions to 123 we never got going and fell 48 runs short. Best of the bowlers were John Vasilev and John Griffin whilst Dragi Vasilev was the best of the batsman. A reminder that there is no training tomorrow night due to the public holiday but we will back Thursday night ahead of round 10! Go Stars! #starforlife
