19.01.2022 ASPIRE ~ THURAT SPIRES AND RIFT ~ KANANGRA BOYD NP Walked quite a way along the plateau on top of Kanangra Walls to get a unique view back towards the 'rift' wh...ere you could see Kalang and Kanangra falls tumbling through. 10.01.2022 It was a rather brisk and windy morning, but some of us were out making the most of it. Narrow Neck Plateau Trail, Katoomba looking over Lake Burragorang - a man-made water supply dammed reservoir.

08.01.2022 VIDEO: PHANTOM FALLS TIMELAPSE ~ GOVETTS LEAP 4 DEC 2016 (VIEW FULL SCREEN) There was no one around this morning apart from a couple further up the track, who c...ouldn't see this rare phenomena. At all my photo shoots now I capture 'some' timelapse but it is a bit hit and miss whether I point the 4k camera at the right spot, as I often start in near darkness at sunrise. But this morning I was lucky to capture a lot of mist action in the valley below and near the end of the sequence, this magic. That 180m drop of what looks like water, is not water - just speeded up mist. When we get temperature inversions in the valley, particularly near water, the mist literally falls off the escarpment. This is 25 times normal speed giving the impression of heavy, falling water - it is not, just slow moving mist. A short 40 second clip and a longer one in my main time-lapse film soon... See more
