18.01.2022 Although I had planned on doing Easter Sunday as well, sometimes challenging times deal you ever more challenges. Whilst putting on the first batch last night, ...my planetary mixer decided to have a faulty switch and needs repairs... knowing there would be tears without bread today, Saskia and I proceeded to hand knead 48 loaves for you today! Available at Nicholson and @northerngroundfood this morning. We also have some seasonal Pomegranates and native Finger limes for a much needed cocktail! Taking a day of rest tomorrow to fix equipment and order some new shiny things to bake bigger batches next week. Big plans for additions to what fermented and preserved goodies we are offering too!! 14.01.2022 Josh Thomas and I are hard at work to bring you our most ambitious project yet called Meet your Meat! This weekend away and dining event has been in the works ...for a number of years and we are so excited to be bringing it to fruition in 2020. This feast for the eyes, mind and tummy is being held at @rivendelleastgippsland which is one of the many fire ravaged areas of our country! These guys and some other amazing local food producers were recently featured in the good food guide. 07.01.2022 Lovely when you take care of two hospitality professionals with a lifetime of experience who understand and notice every detail of the work we put in around the farm at Rivendell and the care with which we compose the seasonal dishes from what is available in the orchards and vegetable patches. Even better when a hatted chef cooks Lobster and smoked Avruga caviar pasta for the us whilst on their holiday! Natalia - Australia 10... Reviewed: 20 February 2020 The most amazing 4 days of my life! First time in my life I’m taking the time to write a review. I never felt so sad leaving from a holiday destination. I have made a great friend, I have met a great chef, I have met a great farmer, I have met a glorious person, that’s Josh!! I have no words to describe the 4 days I have lived in the paradise! The farm is so beautiful with so much history around on every little thing! The houses are luxurious and having everything you need! There are no bushfires anymore and I’m asking everyone to please visit It’s worth it more than anything else. Josh giving lessons and guidance to everyone to watch and taste the power of the nature and reminds to all of us where we are coming from. The fruits from the trees that he has grown, the lovely pets around the farm that keeping company to all, the magic to make his own charcuterie and he’s own bread is incredible. It’s fantastic for couples for relaxing, it’s fantastic for large groups to enjoy and have fun and it’s amazing for families and kids.. and the last thing and the most important is the food. We had the best breakfast, dinners and charcuterie boards.. the taste and the palette of the ingredients where absolutely incredible.
