20.01.2022 Enough nonsense and non truths from our federal rep, Andrew Laming, this issue with cameras at our ferry terminals is a dismal failure by our federal MP to get ...his facts straight. Now we have his ongoing puppet, Matt McEachan installed as the prez of the SMBI Chamber of Commerce. He was a do nothing/achieve nothing rep of Redlands for 3 years! How insulting to our great community here on the Bay Islands, that we have someone residing in Thornlands as our rep of business. I know that the last prez, Col, is an LNP member, did they try to pass the baton on to their chosen? As a business person on the Islands, I will always argue and fight against Laming’s and Matt’s twisted vision for our unique community. Their lot are against all of the great initiatives that Kim Richards has been able to champion and deliver. Over and out - no more Liberal games and lies.

Karen Gilson (my wife) previous husband, Darryl Birtles and Jessie Howison (daughter of my mate Chris Howison ) - both Jessie and Darryl, I never had the chance to meet, but I feel I know them oh so well. Both were taken far too early in their lives due to this insidious disease. On Saturday 18th March at the Lamb Island Recreation Club there will be a day for all to attend - hoping we can gather some Lamb Islanders to join us - for the shave or dye - The photo on my World's Greatest Shave Day is a recent photo of myself with my 3rd daughter, Daphane Ulam in PNG - she hasn't seen her Dad without grey hair for over 20 years! The day at the Rec Club promises to be huge fun as well, with a range of activities and promotions planned - I'll share that in days - week to come. Please join us in this noble cause. 09.01.2022 G'day .. My name's Michael, I'm 25 and staying with my family here on the Bay Islands, and studying for my Cert 3 in Carpentry 3 days per week. As an internatio...nal student at the moment, I have to pay around $11,000 per year in fees and I want to try to self fund my education costs. I study at Acacia Ridge every Wed/Thurs/Fri and have four days where I can work (I am allowed 20 hours per week) - Sat/Sun/Mon/Tues. I've worked in the past for many fellow islanders and have really enjoyed doing my very best in a range of roles - general labouring, assist on building sites, yardwork, assisting with concreting, and builder's assistant. I've been charging $20/hour and it would be really appreciated if any fellow islanders had work available on those four days, I guarantee that I will work the hardest I can to reliably complete these tasks.
